[Android, iOS] Free: Prosper Day Planner Lifetime License @ Prosper Mobile App

6910
OZBARGAIN

I am a developer of the Prosper Day planner app and I want to help out users of this site. Good luck reaching your goals!

You can get the free prime by going into the settings view of the app, tapping "App version" three times, and then entering the word "OZBARGAIN" in the field. Enjoy!

If you want to return the favor, I would be forever thankful if you could give the app a review in the store.

    Nice

  • Tx will give it a go

  • User interface looks great so far. Thanks a lot :)

    • +2

      Thank you! Happy to help.

  • Design-wise, the UI in the app is super clean. Also I love the logo. It's really looks good.

    • Thank you for your kind words!

  • Thank you 😊

  • Thankyou Sir 😁

  • +2

Looks good. Thank you! One of the things that I think sets task management/to do apps apart is having a smart date recognition software when adding tasks. Saves time and effort - which I think is what sets todoist apparent.

  • +1

Nice, will give it a go

  • +2

Thanks OP. Can I create a shared view that 2 accounts can see/edit, like a family day planner for holidays, etc.?

    • +17

You are welcome. Task sharing will be available in a few months.

      • This will be great. Currently use something called Time Tree which is alright but would be great to go to something more niche, clean, functional.

  • +1

Thanks OP. I like it but it does not seem to import all day calendar entries. Should it do this or is that out of scope?

    • +2

I would love to know what kind of events are not showing up in the app. Could you please write me an email to [email protected] with the event configuration (repetition type etc) that is not importing?

    • Same issue on google calendar. All day events aren’t showing up.

      • outlook all day events don’t show in this app

  • +15

Have just given it a 5min check, things I'd be interested in:
    - disable vibrarion
    - more flexibility with widget dimensions
    - ability to zoom the calender in/out so you can fit the full day on the screen without having to scroll through the day
    - ability to change colours of items imported from other calendars and having a default colour for different imported calendars
    - integration with Google tasks (not sure the best way to do this)
    - ability to update items in prosper and have those changes reflect in the original calendar (eg google calendar/Outlook calendar)
    - filters like in Thunderbird where colours can be assigned based on source/keywords/etc

I'm not a programmer so have no idea how feasible these things are but just some tweaks that I think would add value. The biggest deal breaker for me is I have a shared calendar and need to be able to update it on my end and have it reflect in the other person's calendar even if they are using their default calendar app 👌

    • +9

Thank you for the suggestions. I add them in to the idea list, and consider them each induvidually.

      • +1

I find the Samsung default widget really good - can customise background (clear/translucent/opaque), it has rounded corners which look a bit softer and it is very flexible with dimensions (can comfortably have it 2 grid slots wide and see enough info).

    • +4

      Your point about:

ability to update items in prosper and have those changes reflect in the original calendar (eg google calendar/Outlook calendar)

Is the biggest thing stopping me using it any further than the 5mins I just tested.

      • Same here. I would love to use this for work, but it can't integrate with Office 365 calendar. Otherwise it looks really great OP

        • +9

That's something I will check out later in the future. Thank you for giving me hints on that to check out.

          • @ziggy bird: Go through Microsoft 365 API. It will have something for calander, shouod be as simple as gaining access to a user's calander or trying to read the data from the outlook app.

          • +3

@ziggy bird: I bet your backlog is now full from this thread alone

            • +1

@jrchurvnjef: There is some great feedback here, thats for sure!

  • +1

Thanks OP and good luck with your app. I've just downloaded it and will play with it over the coming days. I am on Android and use TickTick, just from a UI/UX perspective, I feel TickTick's widget is easier to use as well as view. Prosper design is nice but seems a bit crowded, this is just early feedback so take it with a grain of salt. I hope it helps.

    • +1

I use TickTick too and have got so many tasks there it would be too hard to use a new one.

ziggy bird I doubt you can import tasks from TickTick?

  • +2

Thank you. I'm liking the interface. Is there a option to turn haptics off?

  • Thanks OP :))

  • +3

    Sweet, thanks!

One thing that would be great is the ability to create an account rather than logging in via google or Apple.

    • +4

There will be ability to create an account with email in the future.

      • +1

Brilliant! Also, is the free app tied to your account, or your device?

So if I was to create an account on my iPhone but then log in on an android?

Edit: I’ve just seen that you’ve mentioned lifetime license is linked to your account. Will this lifetime licence be available after creating an account via email or should I link it to google now?

  • +1

    Thanks OP. Two feature requests:
-task labelling (tag a task with a specific project name etc, and some way to view tasks collated by label).
-bulk import from other popular to do apps

  • Thanks heaps

How do you have this lifetime license permanently attached to your apple ID? I reinstalled the app and lifetime was gone without an ability to restore purchase

    • Lifetime license will be attached to your Prosper account, if you sign in into the app. If you don't create a prosper account then yes, you will need to enter the code again every time you reinstall.

      • Thanks for the prompt reply.

The app does look like another app called Structured (https://structured.app/), especially the days at the top, inbox system, the day view with tasks,…

Is this app inspired by that app at all?

        • There are actually quite a few task apps that use a similar format. It’s a tried and tested approach and works well.

      • Even with the apple id login… if i delete and re-install the app. The tasks i created have disappeared along with the setting changes done!

        • Same happened with me on Android, but I have found the fix. Go to settings and enable sync, sync should be enabled by default though @ziggy bird

  • +7

    Like the code "OZBARGAIN"

  • +1

Thanks OP! A feature I use often in my stock calendar is the ability to attach documents ect. It'd be nice to see that in your app also (unless Ive missed it somewhere).
Local backups to a selected folder would be handy also!
    Thanks again!

    • +1

Currently there isnt such feature, but its something I will add in the future 100%

    • Which app does that?

  • +1

This is amazing, rated on Google Play. Any way to import Google tasks in here and sync them? My life is on Google I'll love to sync with this, even if this app knows the timing of it it's fine. At least important from tasks and once marked here it's done there. Sorry if too much to ask.

    • +3

Multiple people have asked about google task import. I will check that out and if thats possible then expect it in one of the future updates.

  • +1

Hasn't imported the the Google shared calendars? Also maybe the a ilty to import work accounts?

Nice interface thanks for the lifetime account.

    Cheers

  • looks promising and i will have a go for a week and give my feedback. Thank you for the lifetime.

  • Nice app op. Will you consider adding AI at some point? Before Sunset is an AI task app that helps you create detailed task flows with only a few words. You might want to consider something similar.

    • +2

AI could be a thing in the future, but for now using AI API's are expensive and would increate price of Prime membership.

  • Random, but why is “week starts on Sunday” even a thing? Saturday and Sunday is the end of the week, no?

    • +3

For some countries like USA, the week starts at sunday. In Middle eastern countries the week starts at saturday.

      • -1

I don’t get it haha. If they start work on Sunday then makes sense but they don’t, they treat Friday as the last working day of the week hence TGIF memes.

        • +2

I honestly don't get it too, but thats just how it is.

        • +2

perhaps it's to do with Sunday being day of worship for christians, thus "christian countries" (and I use the word very loosely here, no offense of any sort intended) have Sunday as last day of week. I believe Friday is the 'day of worship' for Muslims, perhaps leading to it being last day of week in middle east? I know some muslim countries have half working day on Friday only, perhaps marking the start of the weekend.

just thinking out loud, so to speak.

          • @grumblerain: It comes from the Bible's creation story - Yahweh created the world in six days and rested on the seventh, which then became the last day of the week. We modern English speaking folk who name our days after other ancient gods call this day Saturday but in other languages it is known as the Sabbath - the resting day. So Sunday was the first day of the creation week.

        • I'm always thought week starts on Sunday.. just felt right

    • +2

You can set it to Monday

  • So hard to find a good task app
    I will try yours

    • True tried so many none ever stuck

  • Thank you OP. Perfect timing, just what I was looking for! Rated in Play Store. Cheers.

    • +1

That's awesome to hear! And thank you for the support

  • Is there usually a delay for widgets to appear? When I go to widgets Prosper isn’t showing in the list. It’s been installed for 20 mins now

    • What platform are you on? It should show up instantly, i think.

      • iOS latest version. I’ll keep trying

        • if you are using iOS 17 Beta, there might be issues. On the current 16 it should work fine.

      • Is it restricted to bigger phones? I’m using 4.7” screen - iPhone SE

        • It should not be. I will check it out on my kids SE and if there is an issue, you can expect an update tomorrow. Its midnight for me currently.

  • Doesn’t sync calendars

    • Did you enable it in the settings view?

      • Yes - I have like 9 check boxes after that, all selected. Still nothing

  • Looks nice but I would need Reminders integration on ios/ipados to be able to make use of this

  • What advantage does this have over using the iOS calendar app?

    • +1

The visualisation of to do’s in a linear vertical timeline of the day so when you open your app you can see the time of day you’re in and the tasks you’ve scheduled for that time

  • +3

Looks good so far. I’d like:
    Disable haptic
Ability to sync back to google calendars

  • +1

I find a "to-do" list that's "in your face" works best. Is it possible to have a "to do" list or even a calendar appear at the lock screen? Like "LockScreen Calendar" (which is horribly buggy for me, hence my request).

  • +2

Nice one mate, good interface indeed! I’m currently using Structured on iOS, and can see this growing into being even better. Something that is absolutely required, however, is integration with the Reminders app! All the best Mac/iOS apps (e.g. Fantastical and Calendar 366) shine because you can bring your calendar and reminders together, which is a huge gap in the stock offerings from Apple.

    • +3

Thank you for your kind words! I will add reminder integration this month. A lot of people are asking for it.

  • No calendar widget for Android? I love to be able to see a months calendar and then be able to press on any given day and immediately add a task or event specific for that day, that'd make me use the app instantly

Otherwise, it seems like a great app, animations are smooth and buttery and the UI is very easy on the eyes well done!

    • +2

Thats a great idea. I will create this widget soon.

      • Widget from the app "Business Calendar" is fantastic can customize it a lot and it's my current go to if you can create one like this or even better I'll definitely have prosper as my go to

Plus the interaction with the widget itself is great

        Hope this helps

        • -1

          What app is that?

  • Op, would be nice to customise theme. I would love black and white theme to keep it really minimalist (except emojis). I see you can colour tasks but talking about overall colours in the app. Low priority feedback!

  • +1

Is there a way to make events you add sync mack to your Google calendar, so it works both ways?

I find it nice to have alerts on my PC.

    • +2

A lot of people ask for both way sync, so i think I will add in the next versions.

  • Been playing with this on two accounts/phones. For some reason while it syncs my calendar on other days, it only syncs half of today and misses the afternoon and evening events. Deleted reinstalled etc not sure why. Thought it might be a working hours thing but next week late events it picks up..good looking UI from my experience and I could easily leverage it as my reminder/notification source if I can trust it has syncd fully.

  • Looks awesome, thank you! Anyway to integrate it with Outlook calendar instead of the default iOS calendar app?

  • +1

    Very clean ui.

Is there a web version so that we can make calendar entries as we are working on the desktop?

    • +2

      Thank you.

There will be MacOS and windows apps really soon.

  • @ziggy bird As most of the above comments have already stated, you have built a great app. I look forward to seeing how it develops over time especially if you can add some of the other features suggested. 5 stars. I'll add a review once I'm off dev build. FYI - Widget loads and renders fine on a 13 mini on 17.0b5

    • Widgets not loading on my iPhone SE even after hard reset. Not appearing in widgets list at all with latest iOS. Op already aware.

      • Op, never mind finally appeared. After hard reset didn’t show, but after opening app it then appeared. Widgets look nice

  • +1

If you can enable 2-way integration with Google Calendar and Tasks, it would be the perfect app.

Beautifully designed app. Looks like it has great potential. Good luck with its success. And thanks.

  • Is it easy to add iOS watch widget?

  • Love the interface. Clean and simple. Thank you

  • +2

Op another feedback, next to tasks instead of say 1030mins be nicer if it said 4h 30m.

  • Thx OP Gluck with it.
Will try it later today and provide some feedback

  • The app looks great, have been looking for a calender / task app.
Would really love it to have photo uploads and collaboration with family members, maybe in the future :)

If I could link my licence with my email instead of google account I'd buy it now.
