I clicked the link, saw the website layout and thought to myself "wtf is this dodgy ass website, is this a scam?"

Then I looked at the url.

    • Yeah, i thought the same thing. Looked for a ABN but couldn't find one. The links for support are aboutacer and acer.com.au which tells me this isn't a proper acer website.
Only thing that did look legit is the option for humm payments. I've been using humm for 10+ years now, and they don't just sign up anyone.

      • That's the actual Acer website it just sucks shit

The Swift GO OLED series as released in AUS is the most cynical and deliberately gimped set of PC hardware since the RTX 4060

Updated chassis, H series Intel CPU and nice OLED screen all for just $998

Except the RAM is non-upgradable 8GB

Now you have this deal config with a slightly faster CPU and 8GB extra RAM for $600 extra

Instead of cutting the price to the correct $1200, Acer decides to bundle a garbage FHD monitor worth max $200

For those after an OLED laptop, this is currently the much better deal:

    Lenovo Yoga 7i EVO i5-1340P, 16GB LPDDR5, 512GB SSD, 14" WUXGA OLED 60Hz Touch 2-in-1 $1297 + Del ($0 C&C/InStore) @ Officeworks

This is just a bad price, the i7 16gb model has been much cheaper and definitely worth it at the lower price. Personal preference but I'd probably take the Acer over the Lenovo at the same price but depends if you want touchscreen or not.

If you don't care about touch then the Acer is lighter, higher res and higher refresh ratescreen and faster CPU, though battery is probably worse. But at current prices definitely go the Lenovo

  • Not a great deal, laptop on its own has been as lo as $1244 and the monitor only seems to be worth $150ish.

The laptop itself is actually great, I bought it about a month ago for $1288 and it's been amazing! The screen is ridiculous and definitely can't complain about performance. Battery is just OK, gets around 5 hours, maybe up to 6 when just web browsing. Overall I'm pretty happy with it, just this price ain't great
