"The Lot" Pizza - Free for The First 7,000 Persons Who Recite The Recipe Rhyme in-Store @ Domino's

211

Maybe a comp but sometimes mods allow these as deals

Attend a Domino’s store in Australia in person and recite the following rhyme (being “The Lot Rhyme”) to a Domino’s store team member without any visual and/or audio reference to the text of The Lot Rhyme:

“We start with the base, then comes the sauce,
capsicum, onion and pineapple of course.
Next comes the beef, sausage and ham;
chicken, bacon, pepperoni, DAMN!
Cheese, chilli and olives, it’s getting hot,
add oregano and garlic butter – that’s The Lot.”

    free pizza or my dignity?

That reminds me of the promos at Maccas in the days of yore when they'd give you a free Big Mac if you listed the ingredients…

    • +5

I still remember reciting as a kid: "choose the cheesy cheese that triple cheese lovers choose when they choose the cheese cheese cheese on the triple cheese at McDonalds". The fact that's still rattling around in my brain means it was good marketing I guess.

I still remember the cheeseburger one!
Choose the cheesy cheese that triple cheese lovers choose….
Back when the triple cheeseburger first came in I think lol

    • +5

I still remember it "Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun."
It was referenced in Coming to America here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=djI_ret3S9g

So free pizzas for Domino's employees … One of the worst marketing strategies…

And a $1000 if you can eat it under 1min 3sec to beat JWebby Can Eat

All this proves is how pitifully small Domino's pizzas now are.

Sounds like something someone would post on April fools day…

Unless I go as a group, doing this alone would be so cringe

If they did it during Nov/Dec I'd probably get people at the OzBargain Birthday Meetup to do it in their OzBargain t-shirts

      • +2

Can you imagine the look on the store owner's face if that bunch walked in?

  • +7

I'd rather pay than recite their stupid rhyme

    • +8

Please hand in….. No actually I agree haha.

      • +1

It's still a bargain for those who wish to do it, hence the upvote.

  • +5

I can never show my face around there again after getting that free pizza… I think I probably have to move away from the suburb actually

  • So no mushrooms or anchovies on a Lot pizza?

    • They were on the Dominos 'The Lot' pizza I ordered on the weekend. No chilli either. I guess they don't even know their own recipe!

I just did it, took about 10 minutes to memorise it all, the staff there had no clue about the promo but I showed them the tweet and they accepted it. Wasn't too embarrassing, there was only one other customer in the store at the time but all 6 staff stopped to hear me do it lol.

I recorded it too (just audio, no video sorry): https://imgur.com/Yjk81II

      Dominos worker - 'That's Awesome….That'll be $12!'

Geez how freaking annoying this must be for the store owners.

Lube mobile will come to you

  • A big pass for me … not doing that for a pizza .. remember for a Big Mac years ago when young but not embarrassing myself as an oldie lol

  • +2

Idea: We all pitch in for a Big Man Tyrone video of him reciting the recipe rhyme & play it when we go in store.

  • +4

The utter humiliation if you were the 7001st

Went in to my local dominos to try the rhyme for the pizza, guy laughed and said they had never heard of such promotion

went in same store the next day to pick up a pizza I ordered, tried again and showed a different guy the Twitter post and he chuckled and said I could have the free pizza if I recited the rhyme. So I did and got it, and he forgot to take payment for the pizza I ordered too. And they threw in a garlic bread too. So walked out with two pizzas and a garlic bread free

    • he forgot to take payment and you forgot to pay - nice one!

  • Store I went to had no idea about the rhyme, looks like corporate dropped the ball with this comp. I sent feedback to corporate asking what happened, and there's been no response. What a waste of time and effort.

This could a fake competition to get people into stores.
