Given Rex's new route from Hobart starting tomorrow, it might just be a coincidence, but regardless Jetstar has launched a 'Tasmania' sale, with one way tickets from $39, return from $78, to/from Hobart or Launceston.

Given the two sales, it's worth pointing out that Rex has the lowest cancellation of any domestic airline currently.

All flights include 7kg carry on.

  In their defence, it's from Darwin, and because Darwin is literally closing the runway during those hours for upgrades.

    The runway will still be operation all day, each day from 11.30am.
    
    I don't see any other airline cancelling all their flights.

        @jv: Nobody is suggesting that (Except maybe you?). The airport has to do the upgrade at some point. They try to affect the least number of flights. Unfortunately, someone gets affected.
        Wouldn't surprise me if it's the airport's lowest earning slot, but there's probably a raft of operational reasons.

    Yes you can if you have Qantas Club membership, a lounge invite, or are flying Jetstar Business Max.
    
    But in Melbourne it's not really practical for domestic as Jetstar flys from T4 which is a while away from the Qantas lounges.

    One of the biggest hacks is finding when jetstar does domestic 787 movement flights as its in the intl terminal, then going to the qsntas first lounge (with plat)and eating /drinking more than the value of the flight. And if jetstar delays, thays more time in the lounge.
