Looks like a great price for a fairly well rated brand. I picked up a similar looking pair of Daytona's from Sydney tools recently and they are awesome.

I think maybe people just comment bombing JV? 😵

      • +4

It was a normal looking comment that wasn't something completely braindead or stupid. We expect more from jv.

      • it was a comment similar to one below that remains unchanged

    • I support JVs' tirade commentary ;}

If anyone doesn't already know, this is why https://www.nytimes.com/2020/02/11/style/amazon-trademark-co…

Basically in order to stop Amazon from being flooded with cheap fake Chinese products, Amazon made it a requirement that in order to succeed on Amazon you need to sell real brand name stuff, your products need a registered trademark. So of course the Chinese companies selling cheap fake Chinese products just registered nonsense sequence of letters as brand names to fulfil Amazon's new requirement.

To be fair it does weed out the cheap fake Chinese companies that can't be bothered meeting these requirements, so it was a partial success.

    Stripper $12.74

I asked my wife about this deal and she said I should just hire one.

    • +1

Probably cheaper to buy a stripper for $12.74. Rentals are usually a lot more expensive…based on advice from a friend.

I have the perfect sized notch in a tooth that was used for stripping UTP.

This will come in handy last weekend when I needed it.

      Sounds tense.

      • Past or future tense?

    • Lucky you!

Is this genuine HORUSDY? Suspect not as it's quite cheap. Bought it anyway though!

    • -1

Can confirm it is. I purchased a Horusdy no-spill coolant funnel from Sedy Tools Ebay store recently and it's legit.

    • +3

HORUSDY ain't no STRGBLUM but at least it's better than BVVWTR.

    Needed one, thank you!

  • I bought a amazon basics stripper last week for for $19 and they are literally the same product except amazons was red . Must come from the same factory

    • I think so, these also look almost identical to my $20 Craftright ones too, grip shape is slightly different and that's it

  • I've got something similar in Yellow and very happy. Using it a lot lately rewiring the caravan and its been great.

  • +3

All gone. Amazon just cancelled my order. Thanks anyway OP.

UPDATE: Nope, it's back in stock again but costs $5.25 more. What the hell Amazon?

  • +1

Back in stock but price is now $17.99

    • still a bargain

  • +1

They've upped the price by 40%

  • You can find these cheap anyway, dont pay $18 for them

  • I used it before when I needed a wire trimmer and crimper for wiring reverse camera in my car.
Its pretty good IMO. Yes bought around $17-19 mark cannot remember exact price something around that

  • I've tried this style of wire stripper but definitely prefer Knipex 12 62 180 that I got for ~$50.
