If I were you I'd feel ok given that prices have stayed stubbornly high. This thing should be like $500 by now but, like everything, prices have stayed very high.
Got one the other week from Costco for $559.20. They had it at $699 + a $1000 online purchase took another 20% off the total order. Hardest part was finding another person that wanted one to get me to the $1000 threshold. Not sure why that deal didn't get much traction on OZB.

Costco bargains at no profit is a massive marketing BS. They really should be banned from giving the public that spill. It wouldn't stand up to any audits.

Depends on if you'll get $20-30 of utility between now and then. You'd be lucky to much more that that off later, if at all… but don't quote me on that.

I've enjoyed FFXVI, Horizon Forbidden West, Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart and God of War Ragnarok (not on PC?) just to name a few. Also been enjoying playing games I've missed over the last decade through the PS Extra catalogue (I haven't owned a playstation since the PS2).

Personally I would hold off buying one of these now, as PS5 slim version is just around the corner, and Sony has reduced its official prices for PS5 to 449 USD, which would costs the same around $699 AUD.

i see that very exciting and worth the wait, so no graphical power increase of heat dissipation improvements, I'm definitely looking forward to carrying the ps5 in my pocket so glad to hear that it will be slimmer with rounded edges, oh and i love the convenience of attaching a USB drive to my slim ps5 in the future sounds like a natural 2nd step, you know instead of having the drive built into the device which is a very ancient and obsolete way to design a product.

uncharted came out on ps4 its not a native ps5 title, and its the only title worth mentioning, i have it on ps4, the rest are not MUST PLAYS if you know what i mean, must plays are like GTA, the last of us, uncharted, god of war. etc

really enjoyed HFW even though it has its glaring flaws. Frantically cycling through inventory to get to healing potions whilst being chased by a dragon. Fighting some machine for ten minutes and then being killed with a single slap of the tail. The overcomplicated narrative…JFC…the Silmarillon has nothing on this in terms of just sheer volume of irrelevant back story.
Absolutely beautiful looking game though, strangely satisfying combat. You do spend a lot of time in the early stages trudging across the landscape, Skyrim style. Having a mount doesnt really make it much easier especially in thickly wooded parts. When you finally get the chance to take to the skies its a revelation.
Enjoyed it more than the recent Zeldas, tbh.
Bought one. Seems to be a reasonable price.

I don’t have Afterpay so I used the price match function from the Sony Store and they did the same deal which was good. Took a couple of hours and was really easy to sort out.
