    Looks a nice colour for me. Thanks OP. Bought!
    V2 seems to have elasticised sleeve ends rather than than velcro folds, which for me I think is better as can never look at my watch when the jacket is on with the original version.

    Be aware that the fit it signficantly different in the V2 - specifically under the arms/around chest. I am a big fan of the V1 jackets, but the V2 Halo doesn't fit me at all.

    Apparently this was done (according to the rep in the Macpac store I spoke to) so the jacket can "fold into itself" easier - but they've had a large number of complaints re the design change.

      Thanks, but fwiw I've never owned any other puffer jacket, macpac or otherwise, and the V2 fits me fine. Would love to know if V1 would've been better though!

      The material is different too. My partner has V2 but mine is from a few years back and the quality isn't the same. Jacket is still warm and will be fine for day to day though.

      They haven't been able to fold into the pocket since they bought it.

        Yeah fair. I actually discovered at Splendour this year the joy of wearing a normal cotton hoodie UNDER this jacket to provide the hooded joy.

      I can only comment on the V1 - but mine is the only small piece of clothing I own. Everything else is med to lge.

      I normally wear S, but i have the v1 and I found is a bit bigger than other brand.
      Haven't tried XS though as BCF didn't have it.

      I would say size down. My M fits same as the Kathmandu Epic in L plus you want a firmish fit for warmth, loose won't trap air properly.

    Can anyone comment on the fit of the Sundowner? True to size or runs a little large? The macpac site suggest it runs a little large but the reviews I’ve read don’t necessarily suggest that. I did try a Halo recently and thought it was a little large for me (normally a medium) but my Mercury in M fits pretty well.

    Just picked one up with some thoughts. The colour is green and does not look at all like the photo. IMO it's a nice green so still happy with it. I'm 6 foot 5 and 93kg and the XL is a bit too baggy. Size down. The quality is lacking compared to my wife's V1, however, warmth is just as good as she tested both on a cold stroll. For $80 plus cashback it is worth it. All up 4 out of 5 stars for the price.

    I held off until today to go try one on because of all the size difference reports and now the price is back up. Using gift cards so didn’t want to have to deal with the headache of return if the size was wrong.

        Normally would have sounded like wants evidence for a price protection claim. Surely they wouldn't honour an expired price sale just because of a a screenshot? It's like taking an old catalogue with old sale and asking them to honour it.
