Good height for an SUV type vehicle at 465mm, and being an Aluminum /Steel combo should be lighter as well. Also drops down to 100mm which is pretty impressive.

A good all rounder trolley jack that should cover most regular vehicles.. One could say it's a jack of all trades!

Can't find any equivalent trolley Jack in even the same ballpark for price, especially not Alu/Steel

      Arcan is the superior unit due to it's lower and higher range. They have the same weight capacity,but is $70 more. If you're not using it on a lowered vehicle, or a very large vehicle, then it may be considered overkill by some. The total tools one is fine for most general applications such as a mid sized SUV

      Extra height vs extra capacity, depends on your end use. I can't imagine that the quality between them would be much different

      Doesn't go as high (or low) - 385mm is not ideal for your mid size SUV's.

    Why not just a pair of car ramps instead of jacks and a jack stand if just doing oil change?

      Because then you can't do things like tyres, brakes etc.
      Ramps also take more room
