  • Is it worth the extra $$ for the longer lasting 365 battery compared to the cheaper 180 day one that’s also on sale

Also what about comparing this to Arlo ?

    • So I got the Reolink with Solar Panel and even during winter and only like 30% of sun per day, batteries still at 100%.

Not sure the battery capacity is that important if you go solar.

I have this…I'd probably have spent the extra $ and got the 4k, with the AI driven facial recognition.

All in all, for $1000 it is pretty good

    • Are you referring to Eufy Cam 3C or another model….

  • How does it stick to the door like a magnet :|

    • you can install a magnetic base to the door or whichever surface you choose.

  • Are these the ones with magnetic base where anyone can basically just reach/jump up and yank off in a regular home?

    • +1

They have two base options, one is magnetic, the other is essentially a hand screw. Both easy enough to get past.

I doubt any home security camera mount would stand up to a pry bar and ladder combo for more than a minute or two.

  • +1

Well if Linus dropped em then I trust em

  • should i get these or add another 700$ and get the 4k?

    • +1

lol if you're fine with forking out 70% more surely definitely the 4k

      • +3

I have 4 of the 4K Cam3 with solar panels, and 2 of these 2 Pro 2K cameras.

There actually isn't a huge difference in video quality - both are good and VASTLY better than my old Arlo Pro 1080P cameras (like VASTLY better). The biggest differences between these 2 Pro and the 4 camera Cam3 pack is the Base Station 3 (which has the AI and the slot for a hard drive), and the built-in solar panels on the 3's.

The 4 solar cameras I have had outside since January this year and all are still at 100% charge. The two cameras out the front have had over 5,000 detections and nearly 3,500 x 20 second videos each - and still at 100%.

I paid around $1400 for the 4 camera Cam 3 pack in January at JB HiFi (using gift cards), and I think it was worth the extra.

Good review bro thanks. The slot for a hard drive and the solar panels I think is a good choice

  • How is this compared with RLC-833A Reolink PoE?

  • +1

Thanks OP got Bunnings to price beat so $890

    • How did you get it for $890? 10% off is $898.20
