This game still holds up after all this time.

    • Sure does. I bought it for Xbox after not playing it for years. It only took 15 minutes into the first game to remind me why I enjoyed it so much the first time. I think it was worse entering the final battle for Earth knowing what was to come, and I still felt the same sense of loss at the end. An awesome series from a great studio at the height of their craft.

I'm Commander Shepard and this is my favorite store on the Citadel.

Free on Xbox GamePass has gotta beat this.

        • +1

Not really "free" as you pay a subscription and lose the game when you don't resub

Also its available for PSN Plus as well.

  • I can't see the promotion in the app?

    • +1

The sale is a bit scattered at the moment. Its definitely live on the web store.

This was a PS+ game around the end of last year from memory but great deal for those that didn't claim it.

  • Anyone played this having played the originals?

Not sure if it's worth playing again. Although I did play Dark Space Remake and that was worth experiencing again.

    • +1

I think Dead Space isn't really comparable as that was a full remake, this is more of a remaster.

      • I'd say ME1 is a remake. The gameplay was changed up considerably.

    • +1

Anyone played this having played the originals?

Yep, I played all the originals and also got all platinums for this Legendary Edition.

Not sure if it's worth playing again.

It depends. ME1 is still pretty rough to get through. Despite the enhancements, it's obviously dated. ME2 and ME3 were great. I'm a trophy hunter and this remaster was pretty seamless from game to game. Would definitely recommend this edition to anyone who didn't play the originals.

    • I played the originals once back in the day and enjoyed them. Played the legendary edition given away with prime, and found it fantastic. The added story content from the DLCs makes the games into a whole new experience. e.g. The shore leave DLC near the end of the story is such an incredible way to cap the story right before the original ending.

      • +1

Also Lair of the Shadow Broker is a must have for ME2.

  • Make sure you are content with outdated combat. I tried to continue due to the great story but had to quit mid 1st game due to this reason.

    • +2

I havent played the first one, but played 2 and 3. Apparently 2 was a huge step up from the first in terms of combat, from what I heard at the time.

I thought ME 2 & 3 was fun. It's a shooter where you have a squad and can adjust composition and their AI. Quite satisfying when the adjustments work out. I think that unique part of the gameplay will still stay relevant for me

This post reminds me of the free copy we got from amazon, I might pick it back up at some point

      • +1

Yeh 2 & 3 have much improved combat. I haven't played the revamped ME1 so not sure how much they've improved the gameplay there.

    • Just try again starting with 2, it'll be worth it!!

Andromeda was better. But those Asari-Hanar porn games are really nasty!

Tell me your trolling without telling me your trolling bahahaha

  • It's on PS Plus Deluxe.

  • When the mech squids conquered the galaxy.

  • Starfield is the real Legendary Edition.
