Been keen on this for a while, but wanted a deep discount because being a tightass rules. Can't wait to give it a burl this weekend.

  • nice. let me know how it runs on the switch please!

Plenty of reviews on it. Its been out for over a year on switch.

    • I looked at the reviews and most of them have commented that you sacrifice graphics performance and quality on the Switch. Late game is apparently slightly laggy even on PS4 pro, so expect that to be exacerbated on switch
But you get portability on the Switch.

I recall reading that in some ways, the Switch version is better optimised than the PS4 version.

Apparently some combination of skills can absolutely tank the PS4 version (I think mainly because of particle effects), bringing it down to single digit FPS. Meanwhile, the reduced graphics settings lets the Switch version use the same skills without the same drastic FPS impact.

It's pretty well optimised for the Switch, targetting 60fps. Granted the more intense battles where more is going on can suffer frame drops but that was the case even playing on a PS4 Pro as Blitzfx mentions.

    • I would, but I'll just buy it and not play it.

I've finished the game on switch and it runs well. I was overseas so I played it in handheld (OLED) mode and it looked good.

Framerate drop wasn't bad, like it's not jarring that it takes you out of your gaming experience

Great game at a great price.

That game just sold 1 million copies recently!

  • Oh nice, I forgot that this was on my backlog. I don't have much time for gaming recently, but I'll eat most things Atlus makes or publishes lol.

Great story that keeps you guessing.

    • Yeah, they start throwing crazy, mind-bending twists at you that seem increasingly impossible to explain adequately, and then they explain them adequately.

  • Absolutely loved this game on PS4.

    Another banger from Vanillaware.

  • Yes. Absolutely a great game! Great price if you want an e-copy. I have been trying to sell my physical brand new sealed US copy for a while with less than what i paid for. I just decided to keep my Aus copy. I guess with this price, people would go for the e-version.

Hell, at this price, I'm tempted to double dip so I can play without the cart.

  • Thanks OP for posting this deal!

Suprise this got more votes than "Hot Wheels Unleashed" for $10.49

For people that can read Japanese, the one on the Japanese eShop is currently 50% off for the first time as well. The Japanese version includes a few extras that don't seem to be on any other eShop region except for Taiwan and Korea and includes a digital artwork gallery and something called "Secret File". I have yet to play the game and it's extra content so I have no clue what's included but if you're interested, there's always that.

Edit: Forgot to add that I paid roughly $40 for the Japanese version via Paypal. I'm sure you can get it cheaper if you buy Amazon JP's digital eShop codes instead of using Paypal.

Not only a great visual novel but the excellent tactical RPG side of it really should've been focused on as well.

    • I liked it too, and it’s a pretty unique gameplay system. Just commenting that people interested in that part would likely be best to play on Hard as it seems like they kept the difficulty low to keep people focused on the story from getting stuck. You can change the difficulty at any time.
