Any chance the Triumph 20s will be further discounted now the 21s are out?

  • Cheers ordered 2x Brooks Adrenaline 21s

    • are they good?

      • I've had them for a while. The toe box is a bit wide and I feel like I slide more. Very nice shoes otherwise.

I got them to replace my old new balance.

Brooks and New Balance are the only ones I like that have 2E. I found the asics too narrow

        • Which new balance do u like?
I dont mind my adrenaline’s, biggest complaint would be I’m not a fan of the more elastic lace they have vs Ghosts

I want to try some Hokas as a training shoe in a 2E, triumph’s

          • @donkcat: I had the 1260s. Might try the 880s next

            • @bisaya: Do you need stability or neutral? 60's stability, 80's neutral. Completely different types of shoe

              • @Schniz2: I need stability. 1260s were recommended to me but found an article that says 880 is the replacement for 1260

                • @bisaya: That's weird. My wife had a set of stability NB's which some "expert" from rebel sold her and had terrible foot and knee pain. Turns out she needed neutral and has been buying 880s ever since.
Maybe see if there is another article to double check.. seems very odd

        • NB is so trash these days. I used to love the FuelCells, they were a serious powerhouse.
Purchased a FuelCell Echo 2022 model recently, and within 1 month of running 2-3 times a week, the pinky toe busted out of both (never happened before).
Then tried the 990 and boom, similar thing.

@gud2cu: Any recommendations these days? I'm trying to get back into running. Been a few years now since I ran a half marathon

            • @bisaya: Like you, I find ASICS also very uncomfortable.

The current pair I'm using is Adidas Ultraboost-19. its an older one so harder to find it in stock and may soon be discontinued. Here's one at a relatively high price right now: https://www.adidas.com.au/ultraboost-19-shoes/EF1344.html?cm_mmc=AdieSEM_Feeds--GoogleProductAds--NA--EF1344&cm_mmc=AdieSEM_Google--Pmax-B-MediumPriority-Multiple-All-Products-AU-SEAPAC-eCom-Paid_Search-—_-dv%3AeCom&cm_mmc1=AU&cm_mmc2=&cm_mmca1=AU&cm_mmca2=NA&dfw_tracker=15331-EF1344-0003&gclid=CjwKCAjwo9unBhBTEiwAipC112H1bj_I_XExFj_QfiqP-ACMnDO-_WVrDcKECy0Bm_MGkCf4ag86OBoC48QQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds&kpid=EF1344

Strangely enough, I think this model beats the UB 20 and 21s in terms of comfort, especially on longer runs. Feels well supported and like I'm running on a cloud.
Good enough for 5-12km runs I reckon.

      • I think they are often recommended if you’re flat footed and I seem to get pretty good mileage out of them

  • +2

@Tom Gibson Can you give a recc for a wider shoe for walking for females?

  • +6

I got a pair of Topo Athletic Specters - nice!

    RUNBLOG10 for another 10% off.

    • damn I should have added this, how did you find the code?

      • They likely sifted through old deals and found it here

        • Not much sleuthing, I just googled "running warehouse Australia discount codes". But yes, appears that it's a long running code.

    • This was also my pick from the available options. Looking forward to a big slab of low drop pebax.

    • out of stock now, no longer showing what sizes available
managed to checkout b4 but might be a lottery with everyone else ordering and site timing out.

      ART15 gets 15% off instead

      • Doesn't seem to work on the sale items

  • Can anyone recommend a pair of supportive joggers for a 70yr old man who walks and uses them in the garden? He also has a wide foot. Was thinking new balance 624.. but open to suggestions. Thanks

    • Hoka shoes would suit your needs
      - wide foot
      - walking (the foam material that Hoka use for the shoe soles, are great for shock absorption and comfort)

      • Its not foam like the sketchers is it? Podiatrists hate sketchers because of the memory foam that doesnt suppirt your feet.

        • +1

It's not, it's more structured. Not supportive. Hoka are a great rocker too. Firmer, go clifton, for softer, go bondi.

          • @HerpinDerp: Im a lirtle confused. So the Hoka is not a supportive shoe? My dad had a very bad ankle injury years ago and has muscle wastage on that limb since.. so i just really need a supportive pair for him.

            • -1

              @kimba88: The Hokas -are- supportive.

What @HerpinDerp would have meant is,
the foam is not as 'soft & squashy' as Skechers,
              ie. it's not memory-foam.

The Hoka foam-material is simply better for walking around,
because of its design and it is in fact very supportive.

I was surprised by my recent positive experience with this brand,
and that's why I started to vouch for it, from my OzB post today :-)

              • @whyisave: Which model did you buy? Im really wanting something supportive for him.. he wears joggers all day

                • @kimba88: I didn't buy it from this website.

                  I don't know my model off-hand,
as those shoes are not near me now.
                  ( It's my parents' place )

Once I am there, I can find out.

                  @HerpinDerp already suggested
                  if you want a 'firmer' support, choose "Clifton" model;
for a 'softer' support, choose "Bondi".

              • +1

@whyisave: No, don't confuse the terminology. That's not what I said. This is going down the same path as pronation/antipronation footwear.

Trust me, I am a little overqualified on the subject.

                • @HerpinDerp: Im a little confused. Were you recommending hokas as a supportive shoe for my 70yr old father with an old ankle injury? Or should i look elsewhere?

            • @kimba88: There are only 3 x Hoka men's shoe models which are AU$ 76+
( -AND- they have don't have many size options either, right now)

              • HOKA Clifton 8 (Size 14.0 D only)
              • HOKA Zinal
              • HOKA Challenger ATR 6 (Size 12.0 D, 9.0 D only)

Website down just as about to make payment. Very Disappointing

  • @Tom Gibson site not coping with the traffic

  • website down

    Website is sloooooow

  • website speed of the 90's

  • Tried it a few times and managed to add to cart but crashed when trying to check out. I'm going to hold off until the dust settles because the last thing I want is a half processed transaction with payment taken but no order. Also a high chance of it coming back saying out of stock.

  • Website is cooked. I gave up

  • I managed to get to the end and the final message was that my order was submitted awaiting approval and only then will I get a confirmation email… payment has been taken though via paypal…..

I kept persuing with continuously refreshing and got through the entire checkout process eventually.. I hope I haven't bought 75 pairs of the same shoes.

    Garbage website what a joke.

Wowsers talk about some discounts. Got some Salomon Goretex for walking the dog for $82 shipped… Hope the dog appreciates that.

  • Hey OP

Any shoes recommendations for flat feet? :(

    • that would be nothing, they all have arches

  • +1

What the… HOKA Ora Recovery Flip (thongs) - $76.85

    • i have a pair of recovery slides, they are the absolute best. i use it after my runs, i don't wear anything else.

    • +1

I have oofoos which are very similar I wonder if you are mistaking them for things but they really are a very different construct. Ultra padded, very soft, and great arch support. They are the most comfortable things I have ever worn on my feet. Cost me a bit more than $76 but this is the ballpark for these kind of shoes. If you have bad feet they are a godsend. I wear them all the time at home and no longer have foot pain. Worth every cent.

      • +1 for oofos. I had tried the Hoka Recovery and retuned them. Like you said, the Oofos are so much more comfortable.

  • +1

    Website is dead

  • Can’t choose size. Can’t add to cart. Website is melting down. Not good.

  • i am too slow…

  • +1

I'm blaming Alan Joyce for the meltdown of their website

  • Was worth persisting for me, thanks OP!

  • Damm missed out on the boston 10s

  • Resellers melting down the system

Have spent 1 hr trying to place an order. Have to give up now.

  • +1

Someone pull the ventilator and just let the poor website die

  • +1

Managed to get an order through via Afterpay. Website then crashed and I didn't get my order number. Have received an order number from Afterpay but no confirmation from Running Warehouse, I guess we'll wait and see.

    • good cop, Afterpay app definitely works much smoother.

If I can snag one pair of the 3, i'll be pretty happy.

    • Same here, I was able to login yesterday but couldn't see any order against my account. Tried logging on this morning but my account no longer exists.

      • Update: order went through and was shipped

  • I give up.

    • this site is FRACKED

  • ON cloudflows for me! look good and nice price [and my size 13s], plus added 10% off code on-top [many thanks @raisinberry777!!] meant cost of shipping +extra off worked out less than listed price! score …

  • +2

site working now if anyone is still keen

  • How far in advance would one purchase shoes?? I.e. if the current pair aren't being worn often? I imagine the materials would also degrade sitting on the shelf?

    • +1

Typically with running shoes when you reach 600-700KM

    • I've got shoes sitting in boxes for over a year and no degradation.

  • I just managed to place an order but I think the article was actually OOS. Not holding my breath..

  • Thanks OP - order placed but couldnt get promo code to apply.. still happy

  • Any suggestions on best place to go and try on some shoes to work out best fit/style etc? I'm on Sunshine coast if that helps.

Currently in a pair of Under armour HOVR infinite 2's that are getting pretty old. No idea if they are the best for me as bought them on sale online. Seem comfy, do a lot of walking but not much running lately. A little loose now that they are well worn in. I haven't busted the toe out of these ones (big toe) which I have done on every other pair I've owned.

Size 13 but usually 12.5 is a slightly better fit when available. 12's often too tight. I'm right in-between which is annoying as not many 12.5's out there.

  • cool. now if anyone has any advice on how to tell my partner i just bought two more pairs of running shoes that'd be sick.

  • Can't see it on the site…so anyone here know what the 'width' letters mean? what the dimensions are, etc?

    • D is normal

      • Thanks but what about the other letters?

        • 2E wide, B narrow - what letters are there?

  • It says free shipping for 2 pairs, added 2 to cart but no free shipping.

    • Not sure about that but $5 shipping softens the blow

  • Great deal on the adrenaline GTS line. An excellent running shoe for overpronators.

Unfortunately just missed out on the last size 12 US as I was about to check out. You snooze, you lose.
