Ive been using this projector for the last 3+ years. Paid $129 originally and been happy with it for a budget projector.

    • Do you use it everyday? How long do you use it at a time? How's gaming on this?

Sorry for the questions, just curious!

      • +2

We got rid of the tv in the lounge and use this as a replacement. Used it alot as we've had it since the lockdowns (Vic) so watching alot of movies, series etc. Have a Nvidia shield connected to it running Plex server, Netflix, Prime etc. It's been good overall.

Hooked the ps4 up to it recently and it sucks for that. The kids have a FHD LED TV for gaming.

It has developed a slight dark patch that is viewable in very light scenes like in snow etc so it was time to replace it so this deal came in clutch and ive ordered another one. Ive tried a few of these budget projectors and the Elephas always came out on top in my testing which is mainly a balance of brightness and corner to corner sharpness.

        • Awesome! Thanks for your review - solidifies my decision to buy one haha

          • +2

@montorola: All good. Best to try it out for yourself anyway and see if it's up to snuff for you.

All those budget projector listings BS about all the specs so if your not happy then you dont need to feel bad for them if you decide to return it.

We also take it for week long camping trips every year and string up a huge screen for outdoor cinema sessions in the summer so it's been through the wringer.

Once upon a while a Australia used to dump its garbage in China, now it's just reverse..
May be something related to new World order 😆

  • Ok bought it. Now thinking if I need it.

    • Place it in your toilet for dunny viewing experience

      • +2

You can't. It's not IP68. Also, it makes flushing EXTREMELY difficult. And don't even get me started on the viewing angle

If it's anything like this one, save your $46 I wish I would of kept my $66

Could you tell us a bit more.

      • +1

        Yes interested to know

      • Very dull, focus was maxed out and could only get a clear pic with a very small screen size. I have a circa 2002 projector and is so much brighter then one of these and it's only 720p
Main reason I bought this was the HDMI connections and built in speaker where as my old projector only has RCA video and VGA output.
This maybe ok for movies coming but that would be about it. Ialso thought the unit would of been a lot smaller then it is

        • Focus distance is much greater on the ELEPHAS.

    • Really? It's perfect for a cheap camping projector. Definitely 1080p native. Not sure what you were expecting.

  • Promotion just ended. Ticked the box and got error message. Went to info says now ended 😞

  • +4

Rather pay 60 more and get native 1080p and Bluetooth. And free 100 inch screen.

  • do you need 36 of those to play videos in 4K?

  • +1

This projector posted the other day was a better deal with native 1080p, wifi screen mirroring and free cloth screen

    • I bought that one…. and this one too. I have never owned one b4 so I don't know why this $43 one is much popular than the other..

  • +3

I bought this one for $109, it is actually quite decent. Native 1080p. Kids really enjoy it.

    • I cancelled my order and bought this 1080p one instead—thanks for the tip!

    • yeah just bought that today for $107

    • I recently was using this and it was pretty good. Recently upgraded to a Groview instead.

8500 Lumens haha what a joke

    • Puts my Sofirn torches to shame.

    Instant eWaste.

    • -1

I'm curious if eWaste Recycling Company owners see these deals and think $$$$ while the eWaste Recycling workers see these deals and just roll their eyes and let out a big sigh

  • i dont see 50% off option.. ?? cart is $93.10

  • This one for $100 (after 50%) coupon looks alright.

    https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B09B6KJ44R?ref_=cm_sw_r_cso_wa_…

  • Can this connect to external audio via cable / bluetooth?

This seems to be a better deal?$128 minus $20 coupon. Native, bluetooth audio output.
Limited-time deal: Projector, Native 1080P Bluetooth Projector with 100''Screen, 9500L Portable Outdoor Movie Projector Compatible with Smartphone, HDMI,USB,AV,Fire Stick, PS5 https://amzn.asia/d/9q6FPeC

    • Audio cable only, no bluetooth. I have my Nvidia Shield connected to this projector then use the bluetooth from that to connect to my speaker.

    • Looks like your link has gone up to $130 ($170 - $40 coupon) now.

I just ordered this one. There's a lightning deal for 20% so it's $96 (and free delivery by 9pm).

Will give it a go on my bedroom wall tonight where I can almost fully block light with a firestick.

      • How about the audio output options?

        • I guess there's the inbuilt speaker and bluetooth. I'll most likely just send my firestick audio via bluetooth to my own speakers.

  • how do these compare to any other sub $100 projector ?

    Finally a projector defies inflation.

should show this thread to CEO of coles ww and qantas

  • I received it and tested it. In my view, the wewatch projector is superior, especially in image quality. I will give it another try tonight.

I have received my unit and tested it with:-

    120" fixed projector screen
    1080p apple tv
    Crunchy roll - Jigokuraku
Prime TV - Incredible, Pacific Rim Uprising
Apple movie library - Edge of Tomorrow

Projector can only be use in dark room/night.

Conclusion….dvd like quality, Animation seems good, action movies seems OK too. Text are readable, fan noise is also tolerable. Built in speakers are soft but a portable speaker with phono jack should do the trick, at least there is no cracking sounds during action scenes.

The trick is to get your desired size and adjust the focus until the text is at its best readible outcome plus don't mess with the keystone correction too much messes with the overall focus picture.

I would give it a thumbs up great for portable outdoor projector. OK now to see how long it last test 😂

    • Was yours perfectly horizontal on your desk?

I used the screw to adjust the projector angle to the wall then used keystone correction, then focus.

What I found was that text is crisp but the video is blurry. It's more focused in the middle but gets blurry on the outside.

The trick is to get your desired size and adjust the focus until the text is at its best readible outcome plus don't mess with the keystone correction too much messes with the overall focus picture.

Based on your comment I think I need to not use the adjusting screw at the front and just put the projector on books to raise it so I don't have to use keystone. Then will try just using the focus wheel.

  • Can't get chromecast to work on this. Has anyone tried it?

    • +1

I use a fire stick with no issues. Hope you're not using the projector USB port to provide power to your Chromecast…

      • +1

I actually am haha. Working now, thank you!

        • Good to hear!

Also just incase you or anyone else is having the blurry issue I had before - if you have the projector facing directly at the wall without having to use any Keystone that is best. I now have no blurriness around the edges.

  • I bought this but when connected, the laptop gets very very slow and laggy. I'm only running 1 display and not 2 (I've set to show screen 2 only). Anyone knows why this is happening?
