Make sure you are familiar with Indian Contracts if you buy from this site… (even though the company is at Westmead, NSW )

"available only to persons who can form legally binding contracts under Indian Contract Act, 1872."

    http://www.buyindiankitchen.com/index.php/terms-and-conditio…

was the internet around in 1872 ???

    **edit : **
I just read through it. If you break the contract, the Rep is entitled to 3 of your cattle !!!!!!!!!

    • -4

It means the person who shop in our site should be major and mentally fit. (Indian contract act 1872)

      • +2

But I'm only a lowly Lieutenant… :( And people often tell me I'm crazy. :)

      • +4

        (Indian contract act 1872)

Are you an Australian company or not ?

If yes, only Australian law applies in Australia…

    • Gold!!!

      Holy Cows!

  • +6

they are selling at 5 times increased price from the original price in India. don't buy from these people.

    • i thought it was only a 300% markup ?

    • -2

Sorry you cannot expect it at same price as in India!

      • Why not ?

We get imports from China at the same price as Chinese ?

        • -8

          Your perception is wrong!

  • +3

    Happy Ganesh Festival !

  • +2

    You website says

"All prices quoted are in Australian dollars and are inclusive of Tax"

yet you are not registered for GST ???

    http://abr.business.gov.au/SearchByAbn.aspx?SearchText=90+59…

    Is that legal ???

    • +2

      Hmmmm ????

If a payee is not registered for GST, they cannot include GST in the price of the goods or services they supply, nor are they entitled to GST credits.

      http://www.ato.gov.au/businesses/content.aspx?doc=/content/1…

Rep, I think you better find a good lawyer, one that knows Australian law prefereably…

      • -7

It was more a marketing text. But based on your input I have removed it. Refresh the page .

      • +3

Hahah JV is gonna sik the ATO on you.
        You're gorn mate.
        Gawn!

Its better to buy at local indian shops rather than this website. Prices are too high and very less options.

    • Tell us what you want we will add it in a mintue for you.

      • -1

In next one week time we are planning to add 500 + products.

        • -1

Did you just reply to yourself?

What's a mintue? How much is it? Can I buy some?

      • +3

Tell us what you want we will add it in a mintue for you.

        better prices

        • Unbelievable. Didn't think I'd live to see a post where I wasn't somehow compelled (rightly, or wrongly) to -ve your replies. Congrats! :)

      • world peace! can you add that in a minute?

      • Viagra and the like. We simply don't get enough mail about this, and should take you less than a mintue to add it.

      • +2

Some eyebrow lipstick would be nice.
        Very stylish…

  • +3

Puri Press / Muruku Press etc
Your prices are too high and we can get it from India through the postal services much cheaper than your advertised prices

  • +1

It could very well take a 'mintue', for him to add world piece :)

  • +1

Rep, you have done a half a## job and posted on a website where the smartest shopper shop.
I think you are also doing some dodgy stuff of selling goods here and not paying any GST.
Get your Sh## together and do it all legally.

    • …posted on a website where the smartest shopper shop.

      Me smart.
      Me shopper.
      Me shop.

…you are also doing some dodgy stuff…

      You dodgy.
      You stuff.

We've been through this crap before.

      This guy is relentless…

    http://www.buyindiankitchen.com/index.php/terms-and-conditio…

BuyIndianKitchen has made this service available to use as a matter of convenience. BuyIndianKitchen also disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

They're saying that if you buy something from them - like a saucepan - and it turns out that it's not a functional saucepan (like maybe it's made out of chocolate, or has bullet holes in it), then tough luck - they get to keep your money anyhow.

There is no way I'd buy from a company that had that in it's Terms and Conditions. Plus, I'd be curious how the NSW Department of Fair Trading would react to it. Any NSW OzBargainers want to tip them off?

    • +1

Can I cancel my order and get refunds?
No. Buy Indian Kitchen do have option for cancel / return / change of mind

…pretty sure in NSW you have 28 days to change your mind about a mail-order product.

      Buy Indian Kitchen (ABN 90 592 121 672). 5, 26 Central Avenue, Westmead, NSW 2145, Sydney Australia.
…is a block of flats, according to Google Maps. Not a shop, not a warehouse, just a block of flats.

Pravi, I admire your entrepreneurial spirit, but you might want to do some more research on how we do business in this country. I'd probably start here:
      http://www.fairtrading.nsw.gov.au/Consumers.html

    • Those conditions are completely illegal & dodgey, stay away from this shonky business.

  • +2

No deal, ripoff prices, dodgy rep = spam

  • Illegal trade practices. Claims to charge GST then gets caught out and removes the reference. Warranty? Good luck.

    SO DODGE!
