Looks like it is Australia wide!

Do you have a list of participating stores?

  • +2

    Holy schnitz!

  • +14

Bring your own Bega slice cheese and bottle of Dolmio pasta sauce to make a fine parmagiana.

    • +1

*Aldi pasta sauce at $1.79 a jar. Thanks, Captain Obvious.

  • +4

So with chips and sauce it'll be $10+

  • Oh Schnit! What a Deal!

  • +6

    "$5 schnitzels all day"
    "First come, first serve."
    "While stocks last."

I wonder how many schnitzels are available

    • Probably a few but the will have lots of parmigiana available haha

    • so they close the store if they run of chicken, or set number at $5 ?

  • Does anyone know if Schnitz uses reformed meat to make their chicken schnitzels?

    • +43

      No, they prefer recidivist meat.

    • Well, their nuggets are "made with 100% RSPCA Approved tender chicken breast which you can actually see", so it's unlikely. https://schnitz.com.au/schnuggets/

    • no it’s chicken breast not nugget mince.

    • They use breast meat, and the end product is very nice quality.

Their service has been excellent, each time we've visited the Belmont forum store in Perth.

  • Oof no stores in South Australia

  • +1

This deal gives me the Schnitz!

  • Limit of 5 per customer.

    What is this nonsense.

    Thanks OP, bought 10

  • +1

5 in one day - that's a load of Schnit!

    • +9

I like it how normal citizens see 5 as a limit and ozbargainers see it as a challenge. Challenge accepted. I will wear my stretchy pants…

      • +2

I'm old now. I had to concede that a few years ago when I failed a challenge pre-Covid eating a whole pizza in an hour and it's free. (Not a normal pizza).

I could probably still do 5 Schnittttties though.

        • +1

join the club mate. them days is over for me too.

          5 schnitties across a day isn't ridiculous.

        • I failed a challenge pre-Covid eating a whole pizza in an hour and it's free. (Not a normal pizza).

Unless this pizza was 10x the size of a normal pizza, shame on you.

          • @serpserpserp: Thicker than a Woolies lasagne. I wasn't the first person to fail. I think their offer/competition lasted a few months before someone beat it.

      • might not get served wearing clown pants ….

    • Depends on if you are single person or buying for a group,

They don't want you to eat them out.

  • Maybe state where it's available in the title? No stores in SA.

    • They've done it now, but hardly think that is necessary to insist on - if you don't have a Schnitz store, why would you expect it to be available at a non-existent store? Sure if you have Schnitz stores but they aren't participating in your state then it should be clarified in the title.

It is in almost all other states (well those with ~87% of the population…), I wonder what Schnitz's problem with SA is….

  • +1

    ‘Limit 5 per customer’
Limit one would be okay.. limit FIVE?
    ??? WTF ??? 😳

  • +2

remember its 5 a day per store so you could eat more then if you go different stores

    • +2

      You're a sick man.

  • where is the list of participating stores ?

  • Their chips and curry sauce are the best the schnitzels are satisfactory.

  • From what I remember, their chips are really damn good, too bad I don't live near one :(

    • Their chips ARE good.

  • I want 6 :(

  • +1

I bought a schnitz dinner from them last year and I will never go back, very ordinary food, small schitz for ~$16.
For $5 I bet these are tiny.

    • +1

like many deals by the time you chips and a drink the price goes up, but if buying a meal and add an extra schnitzel or 2 then you have a decent size meal …. then it’s $20 meal and you are in pub chicken parma which is bigger then schnitz portions .

  • Very inconsistent they are. The size varies wildly but my two local are pretty consistent with the quality. I find the beef schnitzels are nicer and for the extra dollar or so they cost are usually bigger than the chicken.

  • OP, can you use this offer for takeaway?

    • +1

Yes, I rang the WA store

  • I'm in Perth and there is only one location. I rang the Belmont store and it is participating. The $5 offer is available for takeaway as well. As per T&Cs, available all day and limit of 5 per person.

  • Can we uber it?

    • Probably not as the $5 price is not available on the Uber app

  • There is a local Schnitzel closed down years ago which I only know today. Love to try but not worth the travel I guess

  • Anyone confirm 25 Martin Place are they honouring the Schnitz deal today?

  • -4

    No vegan schnittys?

    • +1

      No. Chicken is not vegan.

      • +1

but they eat seeds, seeds are vegan. You are what you eat.

      • Their vegan chicken schnitty is vegan. Tastes like chicken, except no actual chickens had to suffer and die for no reason.

  • So many stores and i've never heard of this joint.

  • Managed to buy one from the Melbourne central store, alittle dry looks like they had some ready expecting a rush.

  • Thanks op, this came up on time, from fountain gate, narrewarren

  • Their latest instagram post says that its "Only available from Schnitz that opening on that day." and isn't calling out "Only available at participating restaurants." as per the original post.

    Cheers to #SchnitzDay! Let's get schnitzy! 🎉🍽
Come down to your local Schnitz and grab your $5 Schnitzel.
    T&C apply:
    • Traditional Crumb and Chicken schnitzel Only.
    • No add-ons allowed at promo price.
    • Limit of 5 per customer.
    • While stocks last.

  • Bargain, cheaper than Coles!

  • Thanks OP!
    Got 2 takeaway

    • Me too 😁

  • +2

Had a go today and honestly it wasn't anything special even for the price.

Also the chips and dips seem to have worsened, especially compared to Grill'd.

  • +1

So what everybody is saying you get one dried chicken schnitzel for $5. Pass! Go to Coles instead.

    • +2

You also get a small slice of lemon too ;)

  • +2

Honestly even at $5 it didn't feel like a deal, the schnitzel was mostly tasteless and the size was about the palm of your hand

    • came in 2 say exactly this,
except i dosed my with sriracha…

  • Thanks OP - Schnitz was great!

  • I've never seen such tiny schnitzels, felt scammed honestly, should have advertised $5 mini schnitz
