  • I was just looking at this one, after seeing the previous deal. I can't work out the difference. Maybe just the colour?

    • Different beyblades entirely my man

      • Which one do you rate? I know nothing about this, but have a nephew who would love to play this with me.

From my experience of investing about $100 into the beyblade ecosystem when it breezed through my kids primary school was that it really just comes down to personal preference on the way they look and it's gonna end up under your kids bed after about a week where it will gather dust for all eternity

            @King Steuart: Hero.

I'm going to Japan in April. Reading a comment in the other deal, they spoke of takara tomy Beyblades. I recon I might shop around over there for myself! Thanks for the reply.

            • @StackableSnacks: Get a dragoon surely for nostalgia reasons

@StackableSnacks: Been through a son's beyblade obsession. The takara tomy bey's are better built and are flat out better at everything. The hasbro garbage in kmart etc is actual garbage when you start comparing. The pro-series is ok and somewhat comparable but if you want unique beys, get the Japanese stuff.

good way to get a stadium.

If your newphew wants to take the stadium to school like my kid, you will want to reinforce the bottom. Reinforce using plasterboard tape and shoe goo.

Takara Tomy beyblades are the ones I get my kid, purely for quality. The weight/build feels good and the gimicks(on some) add some excitement to it. Also my kid reported he is the king of beys at his school.

With Takara tomy bey's you will want to be mindful of the series you purchase.

          • @nodie: Thanks!

Do you have a recommendation on a series? I'm definitely going on the hunt for a couple of Bey's in Japan now.

              Super King Series
B-189 - no gimmick just attack
B-169 - again no gimmick just attack
B-172 - kids love this one?? not sure why (kids one got stolen at school, guessing cause it always won.)

              DB series (dynamite battle)
              B-192 - greatest raphael - cool gimmick
              B-195 - prominence valkyrie - cool gimmick

Series X is the new series, accompanying cartoon series to come.
It goes back to basics a bit more, the beyblades and new stadium benefit each other. The stadiums are shaped in a way to force the beys to cross the centre regularly, resulting in more collisions.
