no you numpty, he's made reference to it and i gave the link that its cheaper than… so this is even better than the one in the link! (and the one in the link has 65 pos votes)

        • -7

So why mention any previous deal at all then?

Posting this deal in that post would have been more logical. To direct them to here, not this deal to that deal.

  • +4

    49!

  • +2

just ordered one, glad i held out from the other deal.

    • You're not so glad now. They just dropped the price to $68 http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/79881

    • +2

Should have given us a chance to respond…

      $48 now.

    • -2

cant believe so many ppl own ipads
if you own an overprice slab, surely you dont belong on ozb?

  • inb4 everyone complains about buying the last deal from flingshot and missing out on $10.95.

    • +4

Flingshot have dropped their price to beat LTS, and will refund the difference on any existing orders :)

      • LTS will drop their price soon too I'm guessing.

        • This sounds appealing!

        • +1

There you go - it's down to $60 now.

  • +3

I love the smell of capitalism on ozbargain!

  • It's $60 now!

  • +6

Op change the title to $60 Delivered. All orders at $69 have been already refunded into their paypal account the $9 dollars difference.

    • -1

FYI flingshot is selling it at $48 now but I paid the $1 extra as LTS deserves the credit I guess

  • +6

Logitech drops the price by $10 and flingshot only $1. Thanks logitech just bought one!

    • +4

technically we dropped it by $11…

      • -1

Not really. You just keep beating there price drop of $10 by $1. Logitech is all business, it doesn't drop by just $1.

        • +7

They posted first and still beat lts, no need to hate, just pick who you want to shop with

        • +2

lol they are now in the business of losing money… Let's see how many they are willing to sell at this price.

        • +4

          We will keep selling ?

        • +1

No need to be arrogant bargaincrypt. You have been in the business for over 10 years and they have just started out.

EDIT: he just edited out his original comment lol…

        • Now I am curious, what was the original comment?

        • +4

It went along the lines of "we will keep selling and we are making money. are you?"

        • That is hilarious. There is no chance in hell they are making money @ $40 shipped. Not sure why there is a need to lie about it though…

        • LTS must run a more efficient business than FS

        • +3

Sigh. ok let me do the math for you…

In order to break even at $40 shipped.

          Buy Ex: 25
          Paypal: 1.3
          Shipping: 8
          Total Cost Ex: 36.30
          Sell Ex: 36.36
          Sell Inc: 40

And I would bet my life they are not buying these at $25ex!

        • So much drama. Bringing out the popcorn.

        • +1

Its all good competition, just let me say this, We always try to do a great deal when we can , a lot of factors go into our sales. If you take a look at some of our previous sales we hit some amazing price points, depending on the item Qty and so much more. But yes i will agree this price is unbeatable. Reminds me of the day we did the ultimate ears and the z520 for $25 delivered, what a sale that was.

I must say the original price point buy Flingshot was still a bargain in every way considering the market price.
          Bc

        • +4

I agree this is great for OZB, the competition has only just begun.

        • a lot of shops have amazing strengh at certain things, i will never forget the logitech full cashback deal , now the maths on that where just superb.

    • Hear that Flingshot ? Time to drop your price by $10

  • +2

im gonna hold back until this is $29…

    • I'll shoot myself if it reaches $29

      • looks like you might have to shoot yourself

        • +3

          R.I.P. Andrew!

  • +4

haha $40 now with free shipping

    • Yup $40 with free shipping.

Hope they have some left in the morning so i can go to OW and pricematch :)

      • risk waiting until the morning to save yourself $2 on a pricematch?? i'm buying now!!

        • true, i just worked it out and it's only $2 i'm saving but then again i can purchase more then 2 at OW as LTS have a limit of 2 per customer.

        • -1

With $2 I can get 6 soft serves from McDonalds and still have 20c change!!!

        • keep your personal attack comments to yourself.

        • +1

Clearly you don't know how to take a joke.

        • how is saying "Please get off OzBargain" a joke???

        • +1

          arent they 50c ea?

        • $2 can buy you a cheeseburger from HJ, soft serve icecreams, k is highlighting the fact that taking a $2 difference lightly is against the spirit of bargain sites, though humour doesnt always translate well on ozbargain, so dont take it personal

        • +1

No they are 30c since the introduction of the Loose Change menu.

        • I understand K was trying to make a joke but when someone says "Please get off OzBargain" this is not taken lightly.

As i said in my post i just worked it out and it's only $2 so no biggie for me to wait till tomorrow and buy from OW as i rather buy from LTS.

        • +3

Ok sorry if it offended anyone, I have edited it out.

        • Thanks K!

          Have you ordered a KB?

  • WTF

  • +2

Op change the title to $40 Delivered. refunding diff into paypal accounts.
    BC

    • done again!

    • How long will it take to process the refunds?

    • Recieved refund :)

    • woah haha!

  • +2

Wow, this is crazy! Logitechshop going true Ozbargain style!

    • +12

      We never dissapointed before :)
Ozbargainers you owe me a box of redbull

      • +4

You can have my red bull SIM that I got when I purchased my HTC ChaCha from EB Games

  • +1

ive got an ipad 1.. and said ill buy at 50.. im gonna buy now =)

  • hmm i think i might grab one for $40 on LTS even though i don't have an ipad…

    • Haha same here! This price war is getting me all hyped up.

  • +1

It's not every day you see a real world example of an economic model:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bertrand_competition

    • I think this is the most pertinent sentence.

"Obviously, the firm will never want to set a price below unit cost, but if it did it would not want to sell anything since it would lose money on each unit sold."

      • Under the Bertrand model, the two competing firms will price their goods at marginal cost. I think that's pretty much what is happening her - LTS pricing at marginal cost to get the chance to show people the quality of their customer service. If their customer service is below an acceptable amount for this deal and it doesn't attract more business from repeat buyers, then it's a pointless exercise for LTS.

Basically, the only benefit from this price war for the firm is the possibility of customer loyalty/repeat purchases.

        • I think what flingshot is implying is that LTS is pricing below marginal cost. Nevertheless, your point about customer service still stands.

        • +2

That was my point. The model doesn't take into account externalities such as brand awareness etc which have a value that would allow one to price below marginal cost without losing per se. In this particular case LTS clearly had more at stake from a branding perspective than we did, hence the result. IF we were called logitechshop2.com.au then we probably would have seen one of us attempt to pay people to take these off our hands as some people jokingly suggested.

        • there is a lot of bargains that sometimes are just lost leaders or just for marketing. Most sales these days are to clear aging inventory etc etc etc.

        • +2

True, but you had no idea we were planning to post this deal, so it is unlikely you had a ton of stock on hand and certainly not enough to fulfill demand at $40. The fact that it is now sold out is a testament to that. As we said earlier this will probably hurt you more than it does us as there are people now who think that your price of $85 last week had 50% margin…

There is also the fact that you came and kicked over our sandcastle right when we were having fun. Unintended consequences are always the worst consequences…

        • Actually the 24 hour sale was scheduled with those exact two items. We kicked nothing you dropped to match us, and so on, and providing my portfolio allows me to keep dropping. We kept going. Most important the Oz bargainers got themselves a great deal.
          BC

        • So maybe it was just a coincidence, we will see if that is the case with the next Logitech deal we post…

        • +1

Seriously it was just a bargain cheaper than the other it happens to us with Retailers so many times, that's it.
We would have a sale on and a retailer would just have a sale on all our items, thats just the landscape.
          bc

        • Will you refund all orders to match/beat the price that flingshot's $35 deal? Cheers.

        • No unfortunately the last best price was $40.

  • I'll be surprised if LTS loses this battle.

    • $40 what price?
even you give me $45 i want to buy 5 pcs now
      but no stock now!

  • +4

If it reaches $30 ill buy online from LogitechShop rights away.

    I'll buy 2 or more.

    • +4

      One for each bicep.

    • it says "max 2 per customer"… :)

  • +7

This is the most exciting thing ever to watch…its like a reverse auction
