    Using Vodafone 4G network.

    Oh no !!!

I agree Vodafone doesn't have the national coverage that Telstra provides but at home and work, Vodafone gives me a lot better coverage than Telstra

  • Kogan or this?

    • Not sure if you need it, but I do call some of those countries occasionally.
Beside, Kogan special finished yesterday :)

      • in terms of internet connection and coverage? I think Kogan also uses Vodafone. they are same or?

        • They must be the same. My past experience was the with both.

          • @mahdi: you know the allowed activation period after purchase date? thx

            /

        • +1

Also with Kogan they don't split the data to blocks

          • @mahdi: When you purchase the big plans you can choose to either have it all in one go or divided up into monthly blocks.

      Kogan have better customer service.

  • Do they offer e-sim?

    • The page mentions e-sim compatible

  • Not good network atleast in my area.

  • Damn would have gone for this if it wasn't for the data being split into 30 day blocks. I don't split my payment into blocks, why do they!

    • +1

It’s a bit dumb, they offer up to 200gig data bank which I assume refers to unused monthly. It really just makes it a monthly contract that you are paying for entirely up front, which is diff to the others as you can choose to use all your data quicker and move on

yeah, some months I'll get the Boost 45gig or 65gig SIM and wouldn't need any of my annual data but other months I'll need heaps. Having the entire 180gb upfront helps such that I can structure my usage with alternative providers.

  • i think they back on 4G now … no more 5G on me pixel

  • is this for new customers only?

Amazing bang for buck for teenagers. Thanks

      • True that! Sometimes Kogan has a similar offer (but currently $300 for 500gb I think)

The question is, will you even get a data connection?

I've been on Lebera for 3wks, Gold Coast, Brisbane & Sunshine Coast. There's been plenty of times where I get 3+bars, but no working data. Grab one of the cheap 30day sims first.

        Great point this 👆

      • I use mine on the GC and Brisbane all the time and no issues.
I never travel remote/regional, so I don't care about coverage in those areas (for me).

      • If are rural apparently Vodafone is the worst. It’s ok if you live in the city.

      • Might be a Vodafone issue? My Vodafone 365 days sim has been having real issues in Sydney CBD and surrounding areas, started about 2 weeks ago. I can see the signal cycle between 5G and 4G continuously but barely any data coming through

        • Might be a Vodafone issue?

Probably. It could be the network or just that is busy and Lebara traffic gets less priority. I was At Burleigh Heads yesterday and it took 5mins to load OzB front page. I did a speed test, 30 down & 0.8 up. I'm used to Boost which is usually uneventful.

It was just a heads up, as I was having trouble at Caloundra the other week too. Google Maps couldn't pull any data down. Last week I was up in Brizzy and was trying to use a plant ID app in the Botanical gardens. 4 bars, but no data. Forced it to 3g, 4g, airplane mode & off. Nothing for 15mins. Then it seems to work fine

I like to try Voda & Optus resellers every time my Boost plan expires, but I'm always disappointed with the data side of their networks.

    • Is there a big difference between Woolies mobile (part Telstra) vs boost (full Telstra), especially if you like camping?

None of my friends have Boost, but some has Woolies. In some places they may have 1 bar. Would Boost be better?

    • any way to recharge with this?

      • I think I chatted to them and they said no. You could perhaps try to ask them?

    • You can't remove payment method or disable autorecharge with them. So in a year you will get charged the full price for recharge if you forget to churn.

      • Are you allowed to use a one time card or a rechargeable visa (in case you forgot, but I doubt it)

    • deadline of activation? cant see it in t&c

      • Just chatted to them. They said 60 days

        • Thank you.
