Guys first post here and I think I have a banger

The Samsung Edu portal seems to have reduced price for the online exclusive colours (so not applicable to the normal colours) across the whole Z range. (Receive 30% off Galaxy Z Fold5 Online Exclusive Colours from 12:00am (AEST) 14 Sept 2023 to 11:59pm (AEST) 24 Sept 2023. Discount will be applied automatically to the cart.)

Plus up-sized $450 trade in bonus (from $300 previously) until 04.10.2023 (according to the website, probably wrong)

The prices are now:
$1819.30 (256GB) - $450 bonus = $1369.30
$1959.30 (512GB) - $450 bonus = $1509.30
$2204.30 (1tb) - $450 bonus = $1754.30

So I was able to trade in my Flip 5 (512GB) to Fold 5 (256GB) for:
$1819.30
- $1190 Flip 5 trade in value
- $450 trade in bonus
= $179.30

The Flip 5 is also starting from $1154.30 (256GB) and $1294.30 (512GB) + ~~450 trade in bonus~~ $350 trade in bonus

So for you it could be that:
Flip 5 (512GB) $1294 - fold 3 value $520 - $350 bonus = $424 out of pocket
Fold 5 (512GB) 1959 - flip 5 value $1190 - $450 bonus = $318 out of pocket
So total $424 + $318 = $743
So it is a $246 saving by jumping

Only issue is the time delay, may or may not miss out. Imagine if you did this after getting the S23 deal

  Trade in value is $1700 + $450 = $2150, you can only upgrade to the 1TB due to the 512gb exceeding the trade in and bonus value. so the 1TB is $2204.30. Total is $54.30 upgrading from fold 5 256gb to 1TB

I tried to put an order through using a trade in on my S21. The order faulted right at the last minute I think just due to my terrible internet connection at the time.

Now Asurion have charged me the $226 (it's not even just credit guarantee any more it's a proper charge), I've not been able to put an actual order through because my IMEI has already been used, nobody at Samsung can help me apparently and Asurion are not returning my multiple emails. So so frustrating. Any advice?

        Contacted Samsung again but all they could say was contact Asurion. So I'll just have to wait it out and see if I hear back from them eventually. Pretty annoyed

This deal is so good. I got the flip5 512gb from HN $844.69. From there, $179.30 for the fold 5 256gb. And will then go for the Fold 5 1TB $54.30.

All up $1078.29 for a Fold 5 1TB. Best deal ever.

  I think you'd need at least get through setup to get the IMEI (which is required for check-out). Is there any difference/benefit to going through the trade-up app on phone vs just going through the Samsung store interface/providing the IMEI?
  
  My Flip5 just arrived (trade-up from a Flip4). Will now go through the process to trade that for a 256gb Fold (and then will see if I make it in time/can be bothered to do again for the 1tb)

Trade in my pixel 7 128GB ($399) to jbhifi for Flip 5 512gb ($499) (Priced match the online education price + the discount of online exclusive colour + bonus gift cards for trade in)

Traded in flip 5 512GB for Fold 5 256GB for $150

going to trade in fold 5 256gb for fold 5 1tb for $50

overall spent $1098 for fold 5 1tb (ez)

      They said they wouldn't price match as it's a marketplace, I made the argument that Amazon is a marketplace and that its Australian stock (it says so on the website) I asked if they could at least price match the education store, and the manager was happy to do so, I showed them the online exclusive pricing and they just said yes.

Ended up trading in my old galaxy watch active after my S21 trade in failed and they charged me anyway (nightmare and apparently being sorted out by Asurion and they are so slow to reply to email). Didn't want to wait for them to sort it out. Now just need to know - can I keep the watch which only had a trade value of $5 and not get charged the bonus trade in of $450?

I trade-in 256 to 1TB, got the cancelled too.
I told with samsung support, the stuff said it is my payment problem problem. Said I need reorder.
I said I dont want to recharge $1700, then transfer me to technical team to fix the trade-in ID.
I said again, I dont want ….. The technical team stuff transfer me to aftersale team.
I said again again…. The aftersale team said payment problem they can not fix. I need reorder, and transfer me back to technical team…..
Finally I gave up, said I will reorder, they said I can use same trade-in ID. I tried, but got already use error. Then they said I need contact to samsung trade-in team by email….

Last Tuesday, I asked to support, when my 256 will dispatch, the stuff said special colour, need wait 3-4weeks.
Next day I got the card from postman. Said I can pick up my parcel from Thursday. But the writting is so bad, I can not get the tracking number. So I ask support for tracking number. Different people said same thing. I need wait 3-4weeks, they don't know…
Thursday I got the phone, check the tracking number, can't find the result. Even yesterday, same.
Today finallly I got the result, but on samsung page, still on the way……

  I've been using the Samsung Standing Case with Strap for Galaxy Z (got JB to price match Amazon's $74 price). Like it so far, I like the mechanism to switch out easily the strap for a stand, and it feels sturdy, but it isn't the slimmest case ever.

I want to upgrade my z fold 5 256gb to 1tb. I just chatted with their sales team this morning. The guy said if everything is good at check out then it's good but I don't believe them. Asurion still held my money:
1. $565 from s22 ultra to flip 5. (Sent the device back, they got it. They are checking it's condition, haven't got the money back yet)
2. $1055 from flip 5 to fold 5. (Order failed, waiting for them to refund)
3. $1055 from flip 5 to fold 5. (Just received the fold 5 on Thursday. Waiting for Auspost to open back on Monday so I could send the flip 5 back to them)
Not sure if I wanna risk another $1700 for Asurion to hold it then refund it due to cancel order from Samsung.

record shows that your Trade-up ID: SPxxxx is showing as confirmed on a Samsung order. This means you won't be able to use it for another Samsung purchase attempt.
