I haven't tested every single tablet to make sure the code works, but I did try a few. While not quite as good as the 10% off code a while ago, this code is worth using if you're planning to purchase a cheap yet decent tablet.

Please see the following links for specs in the Ainol range of tablets. Note that the Fire tablet is still listed as a pre-sale item even though it has actually been released. They did have a list of when they got some and when they sent them out but that's gone now, I suspect they have forgotten to update their image and remove the pre sale stuff.

Prices listed are USD and already have the 8% discount applied. You can switch currencies on the site.

Ainol Crystal - $110.39 (Pre Order)
Ainol Fire - $147.20
Ainol Aurora II - $114.07
Ainol Elf II - $101.19

The new Crystal model is the first Ainol tablet to ship with Android 4.1 pre installed. Other tablets come with 4.0.3 but are expected to get 4.1 updates at some point.

I'm sure there are other tablets worth listing specifically but I think I'd go mental trying to find them all. If you find one worthwhile, give it a mention in a post below and I'll add it to this list.

They are also having a Start of Winter Season sale with some items up to 50% off. Only the first "wave" has been released so far, future releases on the 21st and 28th of September.

Shipping is free for all items as far as I know.

  • Their web site is as flaky as ever, if you want to order and encounter a problem, be persistent, you'll get there eventually.

For anyone wondering about the legitimacy of this mob, I have ordered at least 5 times, I always get exactly what I order (or a refund for anything they run out of) and the packages arrive in around two weeks.

They LOVE their bubble wrap, anything you order should come with at least twice what it would take to reasonably protect the item, you would be extremely unlucky to receive anything broken or damaged but anything is possible.

    • I've just posted another deal for the Crystal, insane price of $100.05 delivered from Lightake. Crazy cheap.

  • Good deal. It works out to be similar to the $10 off for $100 purchase if not better :)

  • Ainol Novo7 Aurora II $109.99 from previous deal… NOT Expired Yet !!

  • 503 Service Unavailable. Are they running their website on one of those Ainol's?

    • Links often break or don't lead where expected, but I've only seen the site bomb out like this once or twice before. It will come back, when is the question.

Edit: Back already in the time it took to type the above.

Edit2: Down again by the looks of it, no error, just … nothing.

… and it's back. I think they might be better off running it off an Ainol.

    • Good Deal/Price, my nemesis foobar !, where is your +ve Scotty ?

      • There you go. As requested.

Ainol Crystal is an interesting product though. Spec similar to Elf II/Aruroa II, but with Jelly Bean. Does that mean upgrade to JB coming for their older tablets?

        • I read somewhere it was the replacement for the Elf, not sure if that's true or not.

Talk is that the Elf 2, Aurora 2 and Fire will all get official upgrades to Jelly Bean.

  • if you press the link, you only get 5% discount instead of 8 (it's a referral code)

    • +2

I don't have referral codes for this place and even if I did I wouldn't use them. You enter the voucher at the checkout, there's an unmissable box for it.

      • yes, sorry you are right. i didn't put in capital letters and it did that (a bit silly because codes from other sites are usually case insensitive). also works out to be cheaper than those prices since they're in USD :)

        • However it works elsewhere, assume it to be the opposite on BuyInCoins :)

  • ainol fire just dropped in price. $147.20 now

    • Cheers, updated.

  • Any recommendations for a 9-10" tablet. 7" is just too small for me.

    • +1

Read up on the Cube U30GT 10.1 Dual Core Tab, see if it fits your needs.

      • Yes, I have one and am using it everyday. Battery lasts 11hrs on ave use.

        • I got one and have issues with WiFi, cannot even stream AVI properly from network, let alone 720p or 1080p mkv. Do you have the same issue?

        • Can you give me a link where you watch the avi or 1080p mkv so I can check it for you? I notice the youtube app can stuck in between if a video is long so I use a brower to watch youtube and that works fine. It seems to be App's issue not the device.

        • Watch it from home network server, not from internet. Do you have issues when streaming from network?

        • i dont stream videos from home network. so cant help you there.

    • I have an N101 which I am very happy with. Only issue I have is the standby time isn't great. This forum is good if you want to look into it a bit www.vondroid.com.

  • hey guys,

sorry i'm a noob when it comes to non-apple devices…
i've been looking at getting a cheap android tablet (probably 7inch) for travelling and reading.

a few friends have suggested the nexus 7, but I'm wondering what the big difference would be between the ainol fire and the n7? specs kinda look similar to me?! is it really worth paying double the price?

If I was to buy the n7 i'd be getting oz stock and claiming back GST with TRS next month…so I suppose I could get the 16GB for approx $270?

    Thanks in advance!

  • Any reviews/info on viewing angles for the Fire? The marketing indicates "180 degree full viewing angle" but I find that highly doubtful. I have an ELF and its almost unusable in portrait due to the shocking viewing angle. It's the only thing holding me back from buying one.

  • Bought my Elf2 from BuyinCoins for $102, no problems with this store. Great unit too!
