Further to this deal three months ago, this phone has again reduced in price.
As a burner phone, I think this is great value at only $39. Woolworthsstaff told me it has been deleted from their system (to make way for the newer Y22s model) so the only way to know if there is stock is to have staff physically check their cabinet…

Out of Stock Everywhere .. I think when Stock is less than 1 .. The System shows 0 in the system .. so people are finding that one here and there ..

Yes I just tell them I purchased it 2 years ago for a 2 year old phone and they send a request to the unlocking team. I don't have a Telstra service but have a Telstra ID. I've never been denied a free unlock for my online requests. They try an activation check but returns nothing lol so they just do it.
I just missed out on the last one at Doncaster East (Melb) but the good folk there found one nearby at Shoppingtown. Took a while to do 2 software updates (as per altomic's post) but it is now happily running Vivo's FunOS lightly skinned Android 13.
Seems like a decent unit. I have no current Telstra service so I had to pay $25 for the unlock, but it will make a good backup handset for traveling and so on

No luck getting this unlocked for free via Telstra as it looks like it first hit Australia around October/November 2021. So will wait until Dec 2023 - Jan 2024 before I try again with Telstra unlock team.
