Imou cruiser se+ security camera 4mp

$79.99 after code ZTPZ7OHQ
Code limited to 1 redemption per account.

I paid $100 for my first one, and asked seller for any further discount to get a 2nd one - negotiated back and forth from originally 10% code, to a $19.99 off code.

Pros:

  • supports auto tracking
  • quite smooth pan and tilt
  • ip rated
  • decently bright spotlight
  • decently loud 2 way comms
  • decent free app offering
  • 12vdc Input as opposed to 5v usb
  • records to sd (or you can get into rstp or pay for cloud)

Cons:

  • Current stock only 1.5m lead (easily extended if you are familiar with low voltage wiring ) - IMOU customer service did say they have taken feedback on board and will make future ones with 3m (which I think is still a bit short tbh)
  • Spotlight is in warm white (I prefer bright white daylight)
  • Auto tracking will get confused sometimes and track things that are not people (Eg my sun shade flaps around a LOT and sometimes it goes bonkers trying to track that)

    10% off $100 will be $10 not $19.99

While your math checks out unfortunately you misread the sentence.

Have you tried changing the sensitivity options for the motion detection?

    • yeah I did change it to low..but then it wouldnt pick up when I was testing myself walking past , I did end up disabling the auto pan and just running sensitivity @ medium… I think to be fair, the sliding gate maybe is throwing the detection off, whereas the Eufy cameras I have will detect people walking past the gate. I am thinking about buying a THIRD one of these and running a seperate low voltage circuit down to the back of the property to power it and some garden spike lights and leaving auto pan enabled on that camera - my last blind spot in my (External) home camera network.

  • Does anyone have any success pairing this with an NVR?

  • IMOU are the shittiest cameras and even worse customer service.
    Avoid this at all cost.
