TCL 65" C845 4K UHD Mini LED TV + TCL S522W 2.1 Soundbar $1737.40 + Delivery ($0 C&C) @ JB Hi-Fi

180

I've been waiting a couple of weeks for the highly OzBargain rated TCL C845 to drop price. And with the 15% discount with soundbar purchase brings the total for the 65" and cheapest sound bar to $1737.40. (currently at $1,895)

Noting appliances online are selling the 65" for $1,695.

(This deal from JBHIFI has been at 20% earlier in the year but still good)

And if you jumped on the 15% ultimate gift cards its a win win, also noting that you have to put the gift cards into your Google wallet and pay in store.

Some people have also successfully returned the sound bar for even more saving.

You confusing this with the C835?

    • +4

Wow, you got the 65inch c845 last year for around $1000. How did I miss that.

    • Edit: C835

This same deal was $1436 only 2 months ago. I would just wait until black Friday to be honest or when the price comes down if you don't need to right away.

  • Doesn't the soundbar negate a factor in favour of this TV, which is the built in subwoofer? I was thinking of pricematching the Appliance Central/Online deal, if they'll do it.

    • A previous post a few ppl. Mentioned getting a refund for the $150 so I'm planning to do that

    • trust me no tv speakers are good enough to replace a sound system/soundbar.

      • No, just wondering if there's a cheaper model instead that doesn't have the subwoofer, if getting the soundbar.

  • meh wait and get the 75 for this price end of the year

get 75" for this price at the end of the year

Amazing TV. I haven't even bothered with the soundbar as the TV sound is excellent.

          • @M00Cow: That's a good price. Nice one.

Have you tried sports and gaming? I heard 75" 835 had motion issues. I assume they would have fixed it for 845?

Waiting for a 98" deal, possibly… apparently there's a cash back promo with TCL in October

    • 98C745 has very nice CB bonus.

  • Is the C825 a good deal for $894 @ TGG?

Edit: doesn't seem to be obtainable.

    • It's an older model, seems pretty good price.

TCL mini LED or Sony Full Array LED?
Sony mini LED is way too expensive

Was thinking the exact same thing! I’m comparing this TV to the song X90L, can’t decide between the 2

  • TCL 65" C845 4K UHD Mini LED TV + TCL S522W 2.1 Soundbar $1737.40 + 15% off with gift cards brings down to $1476.79 plus if I manage to return the sound bar, that brings it down to $1327.79. Can even use the $30 JB perk as well. Is this a good deal or should I wait?

    • Good deal.

    • This is exactly what I did (pending sound bar return)
      Gets delivered tomorrow

      • How did the sound bar return do? Did guy do it for store credit or cash?

  • Have not needed to buy a new TV for like 8 years now. I see online reviews saying that TCL QM8 has the best video quality. Does anyone know if AU carries this QM8 model ?

    • QM8 is USA and Canada model. Unfortunate but Aus doesnt get this model.
      You can get C845.

      • How does the C845 compare to the QM8, though?

      • Is the C845 a step down, or is it pretty close the QM8?

Also, does anyone have an advice on a cheap TV I can get for my father? Something in the 40"-43" size would be OK, maybe 50" max. I've been looking at places like Kogan, but not sure if their TVs are any better than the cheaper models at HN, TGG or places like that. It'll mostly be used for news, movies and a tiny bit of sport.

        • QM8 has the better specs, you can wait for the X955/C955 from TCL, however it's the new model, so the price will be premium.
You can get cheaper TCL model for your dad.

          • @simonizmaster: Yeah, thanks. Just not sure what model to get for my father. Do you have any suggestions. All the cheap TVs look bad to me.

As for myself, I was looking at the C835 last year, but passed. Is the C845 a step up this year? Have you seen one in person yourself?
