I just had a look and it seems all related posts have been taken down. (Which is easy in China if you have $$ backing you) basically it’s saying Dreame copied Ecovas’s code and forgot to change it.
Everything I've seen about these things points to Dreame having the superior app. Would be more inclined to believe it if it was Roborock, but Ecovacs? Everyone seems to hate their app.
Honestly, looking at the video posted below, there's a lot of similarity between the Dreame and the Ecovac apps.

Honestly, give the Narwal a look. I found it was the best mopping of them all, downside is that it doesnt auto bin :(
I will never buy another Dreame, 3 weeks of emails back and forth after puchasing the L10s Ultra. Turns out it hates dark tiles. They wouldnt refund me so Amex refunded me and told me to keep it. I actually threw it out though.
Should have sent it my way if you were gonna dispose of it LOL.

Mate grab that sucker out of the trash, I'll take it for spare parts. My L10s has been sensational, although I did notice it can't vacuum my dark carpet at night. Fixed easily enough by turning a light on.
I find it real hard to believe anyone would be dumb enough to actually throw away a working >$1000 gadget
I bascially bought it for mopping, it was all over the place. their support tipped me over the edge and I honestly wanted nothing to do with it and went to a Narwal.

Would have been easier to get someone to pick it up from Gumtree, then dropping it off for ewaste recycling.

Dreame L20 Ultra vs Ecovacs DEEBOT X2 OMNI
Only downfall is the global version doesn't have hot water mopping or mop pad cleaning.
Oh, I thought the global does still get mop pad cleaning. Its a dealbreaker for me if it doesn't.
It cleans the mops but not with hot water I think… some patent issue using hot water (ecovac I think).
Same with mopping.. does it with cold water only and no option for hot.

- Is the vaccum available in Black in Australia (all the YouTube videos show the black version)
- Does the robot come with the camera? There seems to be no mention of it on the Australian site (all the YouTube videos show this feature)
- Has anyone managed to get the plumbing kit installed here or know how much it would cost?
I just talked to the live chat on their website. It is white only for the first two waves of Australian pre-orders.
I believe it does come with the camera. It uses it for the AI object recognition, so it must be on board.
The plumbing kit is not available anywhere outside of China yet. Even sites like taobao or aliexpress don't seem to stock it.

I saw a conversation about that from the Americans on the Dreame subreddit on reddit. The conclusion is that the L10s kit is not compatible.
I confirmed with Dreame as well and answer is No to all my questions above. There is NO camera you can use for remote monitoring (may be a blessing/privacy friendly for some). The plumbing kit may be available at a later date, but not at launch. I cancelled my preorder and will wait for the X30 Pro Plus launch or Grey Import (when App works globally)

I like the extending mop, detergent dispenser, leaving the mop at base for high pile carpet and option ( maybe) to plumb it.
Over the last couple of days I've been comparing the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra vs Roborock S8 Pro Ultra vs Dreame L20 Ultra. One of the surprising results has been that the S7 MaxV Ultra is better than the newer S8 Pro Ultra in almost every category: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=61KizLGAEhM
And to answer your question, this Dreame L20 Ultra is better than both.
The few reviews I can see online seems to indicate the Dreame L20 Ultra offers more features but the app and robot in whole is not as reliable as the Roborock S8 Ultra :/
@flubba86 how do you know the L20 is better?
I bought a Dreame D9 robo a couple of years ago for $200 new. It works well, never had any issues with the vacuum or the app. These newer versions are not worth 10x, the docking station is not worth 10x. Save your money and buy a good cheap one with lots of suction and battery life.
I don't agree. It all depends on your usage and how much handling you want to do. I have 2 dogs, a cat and a messy toddler. So vacuum twice a day and daily mop also. I have the docking station but still have to add water, detergent and replace the mops daily on my Q7 Max. This is a pain
I have an old S50, will likely continue using it but the new ones look amazing!
And my S50 has become a bit flimsy, doesn't find the base or can't go on it properly, for some reason turn around once in the base and I woke up in the morning and the battery is dead… :/
