Ghostwire was great fun. I got it from the humble monthly bundle, and thought it was great value, so for $0, I really recommend it

doing a sequel too according to leaks

    • I loved the atmosphere, but I ended up dropping it halfway through because it was just so repetitive.

I actually really liked it but I found it very short

Ghostwire must not be selling very well for it to be available free on Prime so soon. In comparison, Cyberpunk 2077 has been out longer but still being sold at relatively high price.

    • Anyway to load Ghostwire onto the Steam Deck?

      • +2

You can load Amazon games through the Heroic Games Launcher, which can then be added to your steam game launcher as a non-steam game

        • +2

But its on Epic Games not Amazon Games

          • @Piranha2004: Heroic started life as an Epic Games launcher for Linux hence the name choice. It supports multiple services now but should have no problem downloading and launching your Epic Games on Linux / Steam Deck.

The price on Cyberpunk 2077 only started coming back up in the last 12 months. Prior to that it was around $10-$15.

      • I have never seen the price of Cyberpunk 2077 as low as $15 since it was first released.

Normally I'd say the search bar is your friend, but that's not helpful for anyone, so here's one

          • @TruckTrespass: That's PS4 version. I am talking about PC version which is what available on Prime here.

            • +1

@edfoo: I had a feeling you'd come back and say that, and I'd have to concede, you're right, it only got down to $19.95. I'll let you find that one.

              • -5

@TruckTrespass: Just to be more fussy. I am only interested in PC Steam version of Cyberpunk 2077, or maybe Epic version, but not GOG version.

                • +1

@edfoo: ATL for Steam keys was like $20. For official stores I think it would be Epic at just under $30. Getting it from GOG from a different region I think was even cheaper than those but you said you aren't interested in that version

                • @edfoo: GOG version with Russian VPN is the cheapest you'll get. Not sure if they block Russia due to sanctions though. Maybe try Argentina VPN on a brand new Epic Games account, might have some luck. Not sure why you are opposed to GOG Galaxy.

  • Great news. Couldn't see myself paying for Ghostwire but it looks interesting

  • Is this when i should subscribe for a month and claim all the previous batch of trickle-released games over the past ~2 months?

    • +1

If you want the games, sure. Unlike all the other subscription game services you can still play the Amazon ones after your subscription lapses so you don't have much to lose there.

  • "All property is theft", so not only are you morally right to only ever get the game for $0 (or pirate it), you are morally obligated to do so.

Though for reference, the localiser's hijacking of the game's character has apparently since been patched out.

  • Ghostwire: Tokyo now live and highly recommended if you like open world games.

  • It wasn't previously announced on the Prime Gaming (October 2023) content update blog post, but DOOM 3 was just added as a claimable freebie game (GOG key)

  • Just played Ghostwire to end and did about half the side quests - great game.
If it feels a little repetitive early on, level up the "soul extraction" time and the gliding perks early as they take the grind out it.
The school side quest was Japanese horror at its best, dont miss out on it.

    Thanks OP for listing this.
