    • Now you get competitions

    Waiting for $500 giftcard.

  • whats the minimum credit limit? hmm will i get this if less than 6 months ago suncorp rejected my application for just $1,000 limit

    • +2

not sure, they gave me 30k while I earn under 90k p.a.

    • +2

      6k

Anyone know what the significance of ?nab=0 vs ?nab=1 in the URL?

  • I have previously owned this card can i get this offer 2nd time ?

    • +1

No, only once per their T&C

      • Has anyone tested this to see if it is just that?

        • Yes, I've had the Kogan card twice. They changed the T&C's after I signed up for the card the second time and refused to give me the gift card. I had to go through ombudsman before they gave it to me as 'goodwill' offering.

          • @Kuma: Oh wow so they’re being true to their word.

          • @Kuma: I love when banks claim fixing their shady behaviour is 'goodwill' like they are doing us a favour…
I signed up twice and got 2x$500 before they changed the terms, shame we can't keep this in our bi-annual churn

    • Terms:
If you have previously held a Kogan Money Credit Card, you will not be eligible for this offer.

  • Can the credit be used to pay Kogan internet? If yes, then do we wait until we get the 400 and then open a new internet account with them?

    • No, its a kogan.com credit and can only be used on kogan.com.
Only the rewards points can be redeemed against the kogan internet transaction

        Thank you my friend

What's the easiest way to rack up this spend - do gift cards count?

    • Bills count as well from memory.

    • +1

yes. get the 10% or 15% off deals for best value

  • +1

I got this for ages. The initial 400 and ongoing Kogan first membership- it's come in handy couple times a year. 😂

    • Yeah Kogan first just automatically there for me as well.

      • Is free kogan first membership ongoing until you have the card open?

        • My card has expired and I’ve still got Kogan first. So who knows 🤷‍♂️

    • At about 1percent it's goodm

However you need to buy Logan goods.

      • dont buy kogan branded items. others, sometimes you get a good deal. i remember years ago lots of xiaomi gadgets were with decent prices.

  • +4

Just note if you opt for the 0% Balance transfer all purchases accumulate interest from day of purchase.

  • Good offer, got an Eufy 2k video doorbell free and some credit remaining

  • Is the credit a gift card or simply credit?

  • How do I call these guys about a declined application? They don't seem to have phone numbers. They want you to use the app but I can't sign in as I'm not yet a customer.

    • afaik nothing you can do, no bank will tell us why they decline. and no point to re apply within 6 months (or some people 1 year?) and for sure we cant beg them to change their decision. its final.

      • I called on their lost card number and spoke to someone. They weren't very helpful ("Lending criteria is secret" etc). I asked if it was my existing cards and if lowering some of those would help. He wouldn't budge. It's odd because he took the application number, verified my security and looked it up.

I'll share what I did find here for other people's benefits. He suggested that I could send any additional information to this email address: [email protected]

I'm not hopeful but I've tried anyway.

        • nah, wont do anything. imagine if every one that got rejected can appeal… the application would take forever…. its just the bank standard. you apply they decide case close. see you again in 6/12 months. if we can just simply apply and know whats wrong then fix the issues and get accepted, everyone will cheat the system and do that

          • @CyberMurning: It actually worked. I got approved with a $30K limit!

            • -1

@comphelp: Ok, now that your ego got a boost, lower it down to the minimum $6K limit - there is no point having $30K limit on a card if you planning on churning. That amount will go against you signing up for other credit cards whilst this one is active.

              • +1

@JohnSy: Ego boost? I think they made an error. I'm a good credit risk. I just got them to correct it.

Whilst I need to start churning cards, this one is a one-off bonus so i might as well use it as my main card between others. $6K won't cut it but I sure as hell don't need $30K!

  • Can you pay your rent with this card via BPAY? And does this count towards the $3000 spend requirement?

    • Looking at the T&C I don't see why not:
"†To be eligible to receive the $400 Kogan.com Credit, you must apply for a new Kogan Money Credit Card by 30 November 2023, then spend $3,000 or more on eligible purchases using your new card within 90 days from approval (spend period). Please note, purchases must be processed and charged to your account within the spend period. Eligible purchases excludes Cash Advances, Balance Transfers, Special Promotions (for example, transfers to other accounts with a Fixed Payment Option), refunds and chargebacks, purchases of foreign currency and travellers cheques, transactions made in operating a business, payments to other Citi branded accounts, fees and charges such as interest and ATM charges, and transactions made using Rewards Points. The Kogan.com Credit will be credited to your Kogan.com account up to 10 weeks after the end of the qualifying period, and will expire 12 months from the date it is applied. "

This list of exclusions from the minimum spend is a lot shorter than the list of exclusions for Rewards Points. Crucially: for points it excludes all government related transactions, which means the car rego payments I made didn't get points, but have to count towards the $3000.

    • A risk though: BPAY transactions could be treated like a cash advance. Better double check before you incur fees and interest (and not count towards the minimum spend)…

      • +2

well I did it, and paid it off the next day. So far doesn't look like theres been any additional fees.

  • Did anyone already get their $400 Kogan credit, or are they really keeping us waiting 10 weeks after the $3000 spend, or even worse: 10 weeks after the 3 months are up?

    • +1

I received gift credits after 2 weeks fulfilling the spend limit

      • I have not yet
Is it maybe processed after your statement occurred?

    • I applied early Oct, hit spend limit on 16/10, but am still waiting for credits

      • end up getting it?

        • Still waiting..

          • @rebound: weird, got mine a few weeks ago.

            • @Twitchh: Was it automatically added to your Kogan account, or did you receive a credit voucher by email?

              • @rebound: automtically added to my kogan account

  • i did balance transfer and they will charge interest on retail transactions. there is no winning :(
