Dam, IEKA Logan is not part if this. I drive pass it everyday

  • +24

It seems like an April Fools joke, but it's October?!?!

    • +1

      My thoughts exactly 🤣

  • +2

    IKEA Tempe fully booked

  • +3

To save anyone in Melbourne some time. Richmond (Vic) is the only Melbourne store that will have these. And they are fully booked.

    Free cardboard box?

    • +4

Not just a box - it's a box that makes the box shape of the back of your car…slightly smaller. And cardboardy.

      • And cardboardy.

Just don’t go to the beach ever again and your kor (chur?) will be ok…for a while.

  • Only Adelaide and Canberra have a few spots left.

    • +2

Doesn’t warrant a down vote though. Still beneficial for those in Adelaide and Canberra.

      • +1

As great as free is, it's just more landfill for a few seconds of fun.

        • Is the down vote because IKEA only have a spots left in Adelaide and Canberra or because you assume it will go to landfill after a few seconds of fun?

          • -1

@Pthevie Gee: Why not both? There's only a few spots in Adelaide left and it is just landfill.

            • @Heaps for Cheaps: Speak for yourself, some people might actually benefit from the organiser. If you think it is landfill simply don't get one.

              • -3

@CodeXD: "If you think it is landfill simply don't get one."
Thanks for the permission, i guess?

                • +2

@Heaps for Cheaps: Isn't it made of cardboard? If so, it should be going in the recycling, not landfill.

  • +3

So you're saying it's an advanced, Swedish car organizer that allows you to store all your belongings in a neat form factor for easy access and removal?

Because I thought I was looking at a (profanity) cardboard box!

    KÖR blimey

  • +8

This is just a cardboard box. I reserved for Adelaide (spots available), but then cancelled after I found out what it was. I don't need more waste

    • +1

You make a good point about waste. Rarely do I see a OzBargainer refuse a free of anything. If the eneloop bunny mascott was giving away free kicks to the nuts the deal would be OzBargained.

Looks like IKEA is going back to its roots of supplying stuff that goes in landfill quickly.

      • +1

I don't know about free kicks to the nuts, but add a ludicrous RRP, a sense of limited stock and some hope of cashback and we might move some.

  • +14

What OP hasn't mentioned: you get a $10 gift card as well to use within 12 months

Edit: negged for stating a fact; gotta love OzBargain 🫠

  • +1

Fully booked. WTF. Who're you do you think Ikea? A fkn freebie by appointment. An appointment with the PM will be easier.

    • +1

They'll be on Facebook Marketplace, eBay, Gumtree and ofcourse OzBargain classifieds.

      • +5

$300. cash only, no low ballers, i know what i have.

  • Adelaide is fully booked now. Seems like it's just a cardboard box anyway?

    • +1

Marketing ploy to get you into the store.

  • -1

North Lakes has been Oz Bargained :( Fully booked

  • +8

This is hilarious. Show pictures of crap all over the boot, then organised by the cardboard "organiser" with no small assistance from everything actually being reallocated to (not included) storage containers that are just using the KOR as a cargo-mat.

Problem solved! Thanks KOR - how did we ever manage before?!

  • +1

this thread is vaguely reminiscent of TP shortage days

  • +2

……and only half the people who booked will bother to show up. The deal was getting a spot before being booked out!
Check out the classifieds soon, we will have Ads "For Sale", for a spot to go to Ikea for a "Free Flatpack & $10 Giftcard"…ha!

  • Damm missed again

    WHYY

  • +1

you didn't miss this deal, you get a free KÖR every time you buy furniture from ikea.

    • Not free……if one has to buy furniture!

      • it is free, i promise. buy 1 furniture, get 1 KÖR free.

        • +1

What I am saying is that one has to "Buy" furniture. I'd never buy Ikea furniture.

  • +2

you can still organise the way the they did without using that piece of cardboard mat. Intresting thought, but i accepted some part of my life can be messy.

  • +6

This seems like it would actually reduce the space you can use in your boot, considering it’s the shapes of a rectangle

  • Anyone know what the car featured in the video is?

    • +2

      VW Tiguan R

  • safety?

    guess it's made from cardboard?

hopefully the storage boxes are also made of cardboard?

  • +1

if this was April 1st I wouldnt be shocked… but this is an actual product.
    Crazy

  • +1

Is this for real? Apple would pull this kind of stunt but they would charge an arm and a leg for it at the same time.

  • I have collected my pack and was given a $10 gift card to spend in store.
