      • +2

Not sure what you're seeing. I just ordered one successfully, it's a Prime member only deal. And make sure you are shopping from Amazon US not AU.

        • +1

bugga, i was on Au site.
Oh well, still think maynard should do a tour with green jelly for poops n giggles

        • Link is to AU site though?

        • And make sure you are shopping from Amazon US not AU.

Works for me on Amazon AU

          • @1st-Amendment: Yes it's on Amazon AU but you may need to change the 'ships from and sold by' seller to Amazon US, if it is defaulting to Amazon AU

I just ordered it it trouble free for $96 to resell.

RIP the person who paid $224.99 on eBay today

  • Nice, just got one

Anyone else like this more than 10,000 days, or am I alone here?

    • +2

Not me personally. FO has some good tracks but 10,000 Days is, as a cohesive whole, the better album for me.

      • +1

        Agree

      • I'd say Undertow tops them both :p Sober is one of my top 5 songs of theirs.
Aenima I'd take over 10,000 too. Pushit (and it's live version on Salival) is amazing..

    • I have listened since I first heard them on Undertow, loved everything that they have done and Fear Inoculum is my favourite album.

Everyone should watch the drummer doing one of the songs off FA to see their talent and skill: https://youtu.be/FssULNGSZIA

I was so excited for the release I was engrossed in a Reddit thing about some guy in Las Vegas getting a copy and ripping it to share so we could download it. I am still seeding it. Here's that story: https://youtu.be/WIwR3dN6Id0

    • Yep, this is up there for me.

    • Hell no!

    • Definitely agree. It’s technically better, where 10000 days wallows.

Cheers OP! Early birthday gift to myself

Ermegawd, I had to uninstall my Amazon app to join prime, reinstall whilst sitting on a plane and managed to grab the last one!! Thanks OP, your a champ :)

  • +2

    Spiral out y'all ;)

    • +1

      Wrong album

      • Relax. Turn around and take my hand.

  • Ohh, sorry there are 3 left now, it restocked

  • +3

Cheers, got one and will arrived on my birthday.

  • Good investment return….?

    • I thought about buying to hoard and sell later but looking at discogs these are selling for $100 down from $250 new. Maybe if you kept it for 5+ years?

  • +3

Ozbargain legends sharing this deal! I started my record collection 2 months ago, sunk good money on 35+ LPs. This one I was eyeing off but couldn't commit.

    • +3

Yep it happens quickly! Enjoy the journey.

  • +3

Damn! Haven't listened to tool since 10,000 days and didn't even know this album existed, thank you!

    • +1

It’s actually pretty amazing. You can listen to it on YouTube if interested.

  • I'm a bit of a vinyl junior, but three LPs for a single record is a bit overkill. Wish there was a double instead.

    • It doesn't help when there's a 16-minute song in the album. And due to the limitations of vinyl, they need more. Also, great motivation to get up and change the vinyl in this era of modern technology.

  • +1

Tool love making random limited edition shit and charging a premium for it

    • +1

      They're all a buncha tools

  • +3

    This seems like a steal.

But I think I'm just too old now. I dropped off this album in about 2 weeks after release and haven't been drawn back to it. I got the CD version with the media player/screen built in and while it was a cool novelty - although why they would be happy for someone to experience their "art" via a tiny crappy screen and a tinny sounding speaker is still a surprise - it just collects dust now.

I still think 10,000 Days was their best physical release, with the whole 3D thing built in to the CD case. And I don't even think that was a special edition right? Just the standard/only edition.

Having said aaaalll that though, Aenima is still my fav in terms of music.

    • I agree with all you say.

    • +1

Yeah same here, used to live and breathe this band as a young fella, at some point your testosterone levels take a hit and you age out of it and start listening to Porcupine Tree instead

10 000 days was the shining light for me. Rosetta Stoned probably still my GOAT song.

  • +1

Five LPs, wow. That's a lot of turntable fun.

  • +2

Nice find. First album Ive bought in about 20 years.
Now I need to either get my old Turntable working again or splash out and get a newer one that doesnt require to be connected to a older AMP that has Phono.

  • +2

    You got me. Ordered.

  • +1

Just had this delivered and it is a fantastic set! Now to annoy the father in law sometime to play it on his records player. Spiral out!

  • +1

Mine arrived today - Really well packaged.
Quite a heavy set. Havent fired up the record player yet

    • Got my copy on Saturday, really nice set.

  • Got mine the other day. Vinyl etchings are disappointing and the binder of the book is already coming apart. Common complaints. Still happy to have it in the collection at that price.

  • Mine arrived today, packaging ripped open by customs i imagine, all the airbags popped at it bouncing around in a massive box, fortunately the external doesn't look bad, but I don't open my viny so hopefully everything is ok inside, :/
