              • @yoshi678: Thank you very much kind sir, i have gone ahead and purchased, i was also able to get the $50 voucher for "next online purchase" from samsung.

              • @yoshi678: Thanks for this! Bought the G95NC for $2109.32 with the newsletter code. Appreciate your service.

                • @ssn: You will 100% get more ghosting.

                  • @SvcKpc: Don’t game much. Only for work / editing 😅

Still ghosting will be an issue??

                • @ssn: I bought this from 29/08, around $2500.
                  Work ◎
                  Game △
                  Movie X
If the game not fit the screen, two side have big black screen….
                  Even Starfield….

                  • @yoshi678: How many % work vs play? So no concerns on ghosting? How about text clarity? I heard Mactype addresses the sub pixel rendering.

        • You will get more ghosting though. A lot more.

          • @SvcKpc: The Odyssey panels have fantastic response times, when I sold mine and got an OLED I didn’t particularly notice a difference

    • there is no deal on the Samsung website on the 57" , only pre-order at full price. Where did u get $2399?

      • +1

            • @Eeples: so this only works on android? I only have iphone.as in the samsung app to get 10% off only works on android device?

              • @Omarko: Yes Android only it seems. You can follow these steps to get an anrdoid app (need computer / laptop to make it work)

                1. Create Samsung account on computer / phone (if you don't already have one)
                2. Download bluestacks on a computer and download the samsung app in bluestacks (Login with your google / gmail account for this). Bluestacks in an android emulator usually used for desktop gaming. See here: https://www.bluestacks.com/
                3. Login to your samsung account on the newly downloaded app on Bluestacks and you should see a prompt you'll receive 10% off on your first purchase via app.
                4. Don't forget to stack with $50 newsletter discount code before checking out. Use the same email as your samsung account to get the code.
                • @ssn: I am stuck at the Samsung Shop login screen. It is looping forever at the Getting your store ready…

                  • @Davesday: Did you ever resolve this? Stuck on same issue (Bluestacks)

Edit: Just solved this. Change the Device Profile to Pixel 2XL in Settings > Phone.

                    • @highguy88: Hey mate, I gave up. I tried changing device profile too but it didn't work for me. I ended up asking a friend for help and bought the monitor.

    • Which one is thinner?

    • +1

The 57 can actually be bought for $2109.32, I just posted this deal. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/804043

  • Those are great prices, though I’m still gonna hold out for Black Friday.

  • How often do people upgrade monitors? I'm still using an Acer X34P I purchased at launch price and still dont really feel like I need to upgrade. Phantom Liberty is still giving my 8700k / rtx3080 a punishing at 1440p. But maybe the new DLSS 3.5 and frame generation tech with 40 series cards would finally make upgrading to 4k worthwhile?

    • +1

I've had the Mi 34" 1440p for 3 years, recently upgraded to a 4070ti, only do a bit of gaming, im interested in both the real estate/productivity and the vibrant colours of the OLED, i spend most of my time in front of my PC so i can justify the spend.

      • That's definitely fair enough. How much did the Mi cost you, though? Thing is if I'm paying over 2k for a monitor I'd probably want it to last me atleast 4-5yrs.

      • +5

OLED is good for gaming, not for productivity tasks with static images and text is also not as clear.

        • +1

Text looks horrible on the Samsung OLED monitor

        • +1

This has been somewhat addressed with alternative text rendering applications such as Mactype.

The burn-in thing is still a concern. Does Samsung warranty cover burn-in?

        • I'm use my desktop computer for many different tasks (I go through gaming phases, then go cold turkey for months), so a VA and IPS at 16:9 works out the best jack-of-all-trades type monitors. I suspect I am in a minority and that 80% of people with desktop computers in their homes are using them almost exclusively for gaming.

    • You're better off upgrading your cpu. I had a 2080 ti and 9700k previously and upgraded only the gpu to a 4090, I could run games at native 3440x1440 with high/ultra settings now but saw a 0% increase in my max fps/1% lows from previously running new release games at dlss balanced with a mix of medium/high graphics settings depending on the game with my 2080 ti.

wasn't until I upgraded my whole system with a 7800x3d I saw an increase in fps, now pretty much max out any non ray tracing game to 160hz limit of my monitor

Got one to replace my car windscreen. I'll install cameras to be able to view the road.

    • What if a bird poo on your camera or hit a fly.

      • Cameras will have wiper and water jets.

  • +1

Was able to get the price down to a total of = $1771 for the G9 OLED.

  • +2

Thanks!!! Been thinking about this monitor for a little while. 57" Odyssey Neo G95NC. Glad I waited. $2159.32!!! This code and the 10% off with the new app.

    • That's a mental price for the 57 inch! Especially considering I bought the Neo G9 from HN on special for $1874 this week, but had to RMA it 4 days later so am awaiting that…
Hopefully you get a fault-free product first go.

      • I’d be pushing hard for a refund to get the 57inch instead, a massive step up

        • +1

Most definitely, though I doubt I'd have much luck given it was through Harvey Norman, not Samsung online. I got a 5 year extended warranty though so who knows, if the 49 inch dies at the 4-5 year mark and it's discontinued by then, I could get a free upgrade to the latest model at that time…

Anyway, 7680x2160 is 2.25x the pixels compared to 5120x1440, so there's no way my 7900XTX could get over 60fps on the 57 inch if even a 4090 struggles to with DLSS. The 49 inch running at 144hz to 200hz while gaming is insane and I love it, plus the 49 is already huge so the 57 would be even more of a handful.

      • That wat you get with samsung quality. Most of these people buying this monitor will be in for a surprise. Only good stuff they make are phones, ssds and watches.

    • +2

I used the $50 voucher to get it down to $2109.32. I actually posted the deal recently but 2159.32 is a good price either way. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/804043

  • Dang. I bought this when they had it for $2299.

  • Anyone got a link for the app? The above doesnt load for me :*

  • Nice deal.
It says "Brightness (Typical) 250 cd/㎡", isn't this a bit low?
I feel my Dell 34" that has 400 nits is just right for me. Maybe just me?

    • Yes its oled.

    • +1

      Yeah agree that's too low

  • Really disappointing they didnt include at least USB C alt with this and possibly KVM function, would be good to use as a work monitor too.

  • Aren't these the units that currently have widespread issues of suddenly cracking down the middle?

    https://youtu.be/6MKSSdb5VD0?si=aYpGUQbiNPiQVLLt

    • That isn't this one, the one referenced in that video is the neo g9 which is a qled with a 1000R curvature. This one is an oled with an 1800R curvature.

      • Guna be the same, considering its even thinner and its samsung.

  • gaming monitor, meanwhile AAA gaming studios all developing for 4k lolz

    • I don't think so G95nc is for game…

      • I thought it was for edgelords

  • +1

Great deal, got one for $1771. Thanks for sharing.

    • How’d u get it for 1771

  • -3

When Apple Vision and Meta Quest hits $399 these monitors might become obsolete.

  • +1

People buying from samsung store agin.. read forums or previous deals..

    • Took these punks 3 months to refund me a order I cancelled a day after ordering

  • I just lost my 10% discount through the Samsung Shop app promotion. Didn't buy anything, it just disappeared.

    • Heard over the other 57" thread that it was 'patched'.

  • +2

To me it's a no brainer and go for the 57" , oled is over rated as a computer monitor , TV 100% and I won't use anything else than oled but for a gaming monitor which will most likely have static images there is no way I would risk an oled , I have the 57" (works perfect without any issues and great delivery direct from Samsung) and it's a fantastic monitor with great colors and a brighter better looking HDR compared to the oled , games look very very good , the oled curve is not enough for a screen that size , I will never have a large ultra wide without an 1000R curve now that I have experienced it as it makes a huge difference to the immersion in fact it's worth the upgrade for the 1000R curve alone.

  • anyone happen to get a screenshot of the price in cart with pax code + 10% off and would be willing to share it? PM me thankyou!
