      • I went through a cancellation with Samsung last year on a TV , I requested cancellation next day after placing order. It was a nightmare. TV ended up getting delivered, had to refuse delivery and then wait 4 weeks to get a refund, took basically like 6-7 weeks to get money back.

        QC issues are always there, many ppl are receiving good product as well so Im taking the gamble. Lets see.

          Ah, that sounds like a real nightmare. Luckily, i cancelled my online without a hassle. If your invoice said 17 Oct, then mine probably was going to be late nov.

  • Thoughts on this monitor as Photoshop editor? How accurate is the colour palette? Can it do Adobe RGB?

    • If this monitor is anything close to as bad as my CRG90 (the original 49), I would definitely not buy one (with photo editing in mind - I'd buy one because the size is great). I'm sure it'll be better but a monitor this big and new is never going to be a good idea for something specific like that.

  • I had massive issues getting the 10% to work too. I eventually ended up creating another account and doing it that way. Additionally when I went through the second time, my total came to 2159 even with the $50 code.
    also had issues with the credit card checkout process where I couldn't select the date fields or check the accept checkbox. Overall support were useless. Hopefully this wasn't a sign of things to come 😌

      LOL, haven't you read the other threads about ordering direct from Samsung ? The busted site is the least of your worries 😁 Some people just don't get their order, nor do they get a refund, and the saga goes on for months.

        • Mine was supposed to deliver on 17 Oct and they just suddenly made the deliver on 18 Oct when I not home, so the delivery was now delayed to next Monday

          • @ndssp: have they called you prior to delivery ? how did you know the date changed? At least you seem to have a firm date. What does it say when you check the order on the Samsung website?

            I chose the 19th Delivery (yesterday) and nothing turned up, no phone call. When I log in it still says delivery 19/10. This is pretty pathetic service considering the premium price of this product.

Talking to customer service person on chat I got the following : As per checking we are currently waiting for the allocation of your order to our warehouse. Once the order was dispatched to one of our couriers, you will receive an SMS containing the tracking details of your order. Please be advised that the estimated delivery time of your area is 3-15 business days if located within Metro. 3-30 business days if located within regional from your chosen delivery date.

              Sounds like my order has not even had stock allocated to it which is not great as I ordered quickly when the 17/10 pre order appeared. Anyways, all I can do is wait.

    Just received mine at 11 today (20/10), I live in east Melbourne. Unboxed and spent an hour on testmyscreen.com, cycled through all the options and checked entire screen, no dead pixels or any other issues that I could find so far. This is via DP and I didn't change any settings it was all default.

    I also noticed that the monitor didn't come with a protector/film over the screen to peel off, infact the manual says not to peel anything off screen! Some reviews I saw had this but almost all those reviewers complained that there was some Styrofoam debris stuck in the bottom edge of screen, however no such issues for me I imagine because of no protector/film.

    I still have lots of other checks + games etc so will report back later. But OMG this thing is an absolute beast, I'm coming from a 34 inch ultrawide IPS panel, and its laughable at the difference in size.

Speaking to them over the phone, they seemed puzzled as to why has my order not had stock allocated against it and shipped as apparently there is stock available (which is strange as it still says pre-order on the website).

      hopefully will get it next week …

      • My experience with Samsung was as follows: I ordered on 07 Oct, then on 11 Oct I could see a confirmed delivery date of 20 Oct on the website, and also received text message that said "Your delivery/pickup has been confirmed, a 3 hour window will be sent a day prior". Sure enough on 19 Oct received text with time set between 9.30am-12.30 pm and next day received at 11.am on 20 Oct. Hope this helps.

    • I can tell you only my experience in comparison with my 1440p 34 inch ultrawide IPS panel, but text on this 57 G9 is clearer and much sharper. I haven't even tinkered with settings yet its still on default but the text clarity is amazing. The pixel density of the G9 is also much higher so this was expected and honesty didn't come as a surprise for me.

        Are the texts and icons very small without display scaling? (I normally had to set scaling at 150% for 28" screen)

        • Yes without scaling it is very small. For my 34 inch I had 125% scaling, for the 57 G9 its 150%. This scaling I find is perfect for me for this size. When I first plugged it in Windows actually automatically set the scaling to 150% for this monitor (I had it set at 125% when I unplugged the 34 inch).

          • @TanTheMan: Can you drive this monitor with a business laptop? My work laptop only has a 12th gen Intel integrated gpu - will it be able to output 4k @60hz to this monitor? Cheers.

    I purchased this panel on the 28th of Sept. Unit was delivered DOA. I have been waiting for a replacement for 7 weeks now and have been told its going to be another 5 weeks unil new ones arrive. This is after they have been selling them to other customers and delivering them. Long story short, be warned dealing with Samsung. Bad customer service and their company seem to have real issues understanding stocks and providing support to people who get dud units (which seems to be a fair few according to reddit.).

    • thats terrible and quite shocking from a tech giant like Samsung. I agree, their customer service is incredibly poor and frankly I am surprised how people tolerate it and there is not more noise in social media about it. I guess their products are overall good quality so not that many issues and problems. But if you do have one, then you are stuck in an incredibly poorly designed process behind. Whoever is in charge of customer experience should be sacked on the spot and someone new come in and turn this around.

      I am still waiting on my screen, ordered 7/10, delivery was 19/10 … nothing … many phone calls to customer service who have no clue about anything. They "think" now it will be delivered on 2/11 but still cant confirm or anything. Shocking. I can only assume they ran out of monitors from the first pre-order they had allocated and I simply was one of the victims. Again, this should have been communicated simply and their portal update / reflect latest status.

      I like Samsung TVs but thats about it, the company has left very sour taste in my mouth (btw this is my 2nd bad experience with their customer service) and I wont be buying from them directly ever again.

    I have been told stock will be available on the 20th of November. To be honest I have no faith in this date and most likely they will ship new units to other customers before then as they have already done. I guess the real problem here is a lack of competition. Hopefully more companies make these size panels and we wont have to buy from samsung anymore.

      Which is ahead of the second 28 November 2023 shipment batch we were previously seeing.

        my order from 7th Oct still says Preparing, very annoyed as it was showing at one stage awaiting dispatch and I had scheduled delivery 19/10.

        in the last days, with number of calls with Samsung, NOBODY can tell me when it will ship. They said maybe on the 2/11 but couldn't guarantee anything.

        Absolutely atrocious service, complete hopeless process and systems.

        • now it says 16/11 for delivery but still preparing order.

          talking to customer service yesterday, the person said they have stock but could not tell me why has my order not shipped and that the back office team are working on it. FFS … working on what ? lol … its been now 2 weeks since I lodged and inquiry .. hopeless.

          will cancel if it does not show shipped by 16/11, thats my last straw.

          • @Omarko: Going by their track record, initiating a cancel/refund will not be the last straw for Samsung within any reasonable timeframe either.

            Or they may even finally decide to cancel in bulk after holding funds for months before subsequently initiating another months-long process to refund the money back to their customers!

    • They were selling a 13 November 2023 batch even with minimal order fulfillment .

      Now they continue selling with a 19 December 2023 batch. (Very superficial sales popup-esque)

      Must be nice to gather interest-free loans for non-existent products. A classic of even some retail hardware stores!

      Each "shipment" will further compound processing issues and require them to keep staggering more Samsung shop "sales" to keep the handling afloat..

      If only there was a way to verify quantities of customers who have received their purchased orders

      • I had enough, if it doesnt ship 16/11 as per what the order status says (it was 19/10 then 4/11 now 16/11) I will just cancel as its ridiculous and not acceptable.

        whats worst is their customer service, each time you call, they dont have ANY information and keep saying your enquiry has been escalated and team member from back office will call you within 3-7 business days. No calls … and when I tell the customer service person they just say sorry, we will escalate again.

        How can Samsung be this bad and have such poor disregard for their customers?

    • Yesterday I spoke with someone from Samsung ecomm team, they said ALL orders currently in system will not be filled until 19/12 (as in start shipping from that date). They said they had delays and this is what it is.

      Very strange they knew the info after I made so many cals but the person was adamant there is no stock and next first proper shipment is coming 19/12.

        My unit arrived today. This was a replacement for a faulty unit that was purchased on the first day pre-ordering was available and delivered on the 7th of September. So far so good. To be honest I'm put off by the whole experience.

      I just did this cancelling my old order and making a new samsung account.

      It works out to be a total package price of $1992.29 cause you have to get the 500gb sdd which is $76

      Estimate delivery date is 29/11/2023

      • how did you log in with new account in the samsung app ? when I click log in it just automatically logs me in with saved credentials.

        • I have a samsung tablet. So you can swap profiles only way i worked out how to do it

          • @Thunder-Wombat: thanks… I think I have an old android phone somewhere, will see if it works. Cant figure out any other way to do this outside of logging out from the Galaxy (my partners phone) which clears all data and thats annoying.

  • the saga with Samsung continues - got a call from them today, they were just checking in and to say that "its possible but they cant guarantee" that it might be delivered on 30/11 (which is the date I see in the order status).

    I said I can see that already and been told same thing 3 times already when the date changed so how can I trust what you are saying. they just kept saying sorry, we understand you are frustrated. The person also confirmed number of times that stock is not an issue (which I doubt). I challenged that and said, why has it not shipped then ? they just said logistics team is working around the clock on supplying my order. Same BS I have been given before.

    Quite tired of this and told them not to ever call me unless they have a firm date with delivery as each time they call, it just makes my blood boil and I get upset.

      If anc have smsed then it is coming. They don’t pick up until day of delivery and you can track the truck in real time. Glad it’s coming for you. Samsung suck arse however

    Just got a phone call from Samsung saying that they have run out of stock and would like to cancel my order! I ordered on the previous deal before this promotion.
    This is after 3 months of telling me that they are waiting to allocated.
    Ordered October 10th for delivery on the 20th.
    Delayed to Nov 18th
    Delayed to Dec 6th
    Delayed Dec 18th
    Request to cancel.
    WTF Samsung!

      • No outcome yet. I insisted that they don't cancel yet - here is the rough response
        "We must be transparent that we currently don't have a confirmed restock date"
        "We can proceed with a refund for the item now, if the item becomes available later you are welcome to re-order it" (no mention if I can re-order at the same price)
        We will now put your case on hold, feel free to contact us if you wish to cancel your order"
