Bought it 2 days ago for $236, thought it was a good price to enter into the robovac scene.

    • How's it been so far? Worth it?

      • Haven't tested it out yet sorry, haven't really been home lately

  • Reviews seem mixed

It's awesome at the price point

      • +3

I picked one up in the last sale, and for hard surfaces, i gotta say the vacuuming and mopping was pretty impressive at this price point.

When i mapped upstairs with carpet, still quite pleased with its performance at this price, there was still some sock lint that was missed that was a bit flattened into the carpet, but for what i paid, very well worth it.

are these as good as a roborock xiaomi v1?

  • Shop Back + Westpac cashback should be $50 ($30 + $20).

    • +2

hmmm, I was hoping the same but the coupon is applied as "promotional credit" which probably invalidates cashback

although, cashrewards specifies "promotional codes you enter manually", shopback might be the same. Even without it it is a good deal, might just go for it

      • It shows up as $312.62 promotion(s) applied (ie includes Prime deal + $160 coupon). So let's see how it goes.

    • This makes me want to hold out while signing up for a Westpac card before the next deal

  • THERE IS A $160 COUPON ON IT AT THE MOMENT

Been using it for nearly 3 weeks. Set it on regular vacuum daily and so far so good. Very happy with my purchase, paid $230.99 back then with 50% off + extra 8% discount.

    • How does the mopping function perform?
Any issues with disconnections and mapped being forgotten?

      • +1

I haven't used the mopping function yet. Maybe @dins can give review on the mopping function?

        • +1

Haven't used the mopping function myself looks more like a gimmick to me haha. I'm more than happy with the vaccuming that's all I'm after. Couldn't help it bought another one as a gift lol.

          • +2

@dins: Lol, same reason, happy with the daily vacuuming and couldn't be bothered setting up the mopping function.

      • +3

It's basic but effective if it's just surface stains it gets. You can ask it to pass over twice. Runs out of water though. This can be adjusted in settings but I'm yet to play around too much. Just refill the water and have it on heavy flow. You also need to rinse the mop pad, clean etc every few days which takes a few minutes.

Bought one, lets see if it really works and how long lasts

  • Is this vacuum basically similar to this one? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/797966
Looks like they both have LIDAR so an extra $40 doesn't seem too bad considering the other one was seen as a great deal.

    • I think this, the ecovacs N8 and dreame are more or less the same machine. I have the N8 and the app screenshots are suspiciously similar amongst all 3.

    • +1

Spec-wise this is probably not as good but I have a couple of these and I can definitely recommend. Plus purchasing via Amazon much easier when it comes to returns/warranty and this one comes with a 2 year warranty. That DreameBot deal pretty sure it was a price error anyways.
