  • Comes up as 364 for me. Any chance of pricebeat from Sydney Tools/Total Tools etc ? Amazon…. cmon Jeff

Bunnings tends to run "Bunnings specific" SKU's to get around the price beat. You can try your luck at SydneyTools, but they may tell you go pound sand.

There is bugger all markup on Power Tools. The only person who makes money on Makita, is Makita.

Ozito, Ryobi etc does that, but there are no Bunnings specific Makita SKUs. At least I haven't seen any so far.

That being said, Sydney Tools and Total Tools still stock the older version of this kit with 3.0Ah batteries (DLX2283S instead of DLX2283SM) for $409, so they probably won't price match. They only match, not beat though, so just buy from Bunnings.

        • The LS1017L is only at Bunnings.

          • @TigerTight: Yeah, that's an interesting one. Looks like a trimmed down version of LS1018L.

It's also sold in Canada, though, so not exactly Bunnings only.

Bought this two years ago for $354, going strong!

Few weeks ago installed a deck with 1000+ screws including drill+countersink with this combo! Only had to top up the battery once overnight half way through.

    • I mistakenly replaced a flogged Ryobi drill (nearly 10 years) with an Aldi equivalent, only to discover it torquing out on anything more than the lightest of jobs. Poor man pay twice…. Time to get the Makita.

  • they used to do this combo with a free grinder skin as well

  • For someone that wants to upgrade and need to replace a few aging tools, circular saw, multi tool, etc. Would I see better value waiting for a deal on a big combo kit, I'm not in a rush?
