Bonus Trade-in Credits for Purchase of a Samsung Galaxy S23 FE: $200 (Public Offer) + Extra $200 (Targeted Offer) @ Samsung

450

Similar to this deal

Recieved an email about an hour ago with a unique code. Previous deal with s23 was targeted so i'm guessing this is the same.

Get the latest Samsung Fan Edition with all the big features, without the big price tag! Upgrade to an epic camera, performance, and all day battery+ for only $999 RRP.

As a Samsung Fan, use your exclusive $200 trade in voucher on top of the additional $200 trade in offer to get up to $717* in total bonus value when you upgrade and trade in your eligible device. Plus, get 50% off 2 year Samsung Care+ for $79.50 and exclusive gifts with your purchase, which includes the new Galaxy SmartTag2 and Battery Pack (valued at $238 RRP).

And in typical Samsung fashion, the potential for code stacking is nuts. Personally, wouldn't buy the s23 for anywhere near what it retails but managed to get it down to $341.1 for the 128gb version which is worth it. 256gb is 100$ more.

You'll get the preorder bonus too which nets you a 10000mAh portable battery and a 4 pack of the new SmartTag 2's. Pretty sweet value imo.

Potential stack with Cashrewards but I'm not sure about this one.

  • What did you trade in

  • +1

Your Google Drive images are set to private and can't be shared with public.

    • oopsies, thanks for that! fixed.

  • Do I have to send my old phone back or can I still keep it same as old deals?

    • Technically you can keep it, but you'll be charged a 'late-fee' and phone will not be useable for future trade-in.

It easier to just trade-in a random headphone/earphones to trigger the trade-in bonus.

      • How do you trade in just headphones? I can only see tablet, phone and watch as an option…

        • +2

To trade-in headphones/earphones, it has to be done through the Samsung Trade-Up App.

    • Apparently you can use the Trade In app to generate a code for the trade in of any ear buds (trade in value: $1).

Unfortunately the app is broken for me. It does not allow entering an address, which makes it impossible to complete the process.

But if it works for you, you should be able to generate a trade in code to use in the Samsung checkout, and send them any cheap junk ones from eBay or AliExpress.

      • +1

Reset accessibility settings. It'll do the trick for your address issue.

        • +1

No luck, unfortunately. Also cleared app cache and data.

The autocompleted address options appear in a little popup but it's as if it's in the foreground; any taps seem to be focused on the form beneath it so I can't select any of them. I also tried plugging in a mouse and keyboard but I can't click it or tab it into focus.

I'm open to any other ideas.

        • +2

Update: It was my launcher (Nova). Setting the launcher back to default allowed input to register correctly. Thanks for the nudge in the right direction.

Are these dual Sim? That's the only reason for me to upgrade.

    • According to JB Hi-Fi

      Dual SIM (nano-SIM + eSIM)

      • Comparatively, S23 regular is dual nano + eSIM

        • S23 is nano + eSIM too. Other regions may have dual nano sim version.

          • @syswong: S23 still has more than S23 FE. The Galaxy S23 offers a Dual Nano SIM slot and also has eSIM support. User may use up to two physical SIMs or 1 eSIM & 1 physical SIM at the same time.

            https://www.samsung.com/ae/support/mobile-devices/does-s23-s…

This is also per the S23 specs on JB's listing

            • @Fobsessive: This JB listing shows a single physical sim as does the Samsung Australia product page. Your link is for AE region

SIM type: Dual SIM (nano-SIM + eSIM)

              • +1

@Smigit: Thanks, that is devastating to know. Looks like grey importing (risky) or buying overseas (expensive) are the only way to get dual physical SIMs :(

                • @Fobsessive: Why you need two physical Sim? Seriously if deploy correctly esim rocks man!

                  • @syswong: one for gf, another one for another gf

                    • @CyberMurning: Are you implying his "you know what" is the size of a sim? Thats not nice….

On a seriously note, what difference if when one is esim….

                  • @syswong: For travelling:
                    Physical 1: home roaming SIM
                    Physical 2: travel destination SIM
E-SIM: optional travel destination SIM for convenience (eg pre-ordered, so it'll work immediately as the plane arrives)

                    • @Fobsessive: Yes, so you only need "Physical 2: travel destination SIM" or esim, no need for two physical sim slot……

                      • @syswong: You got me thinking. I just discovered "A great thing about traveling to Europe is that the EU outlawed mobile data roaming fees so any European data plan will work anywhere in Europe", so that means not needing to SIM swap in every different country.

So Physical 1 home, and E-SIM travel could be enough! However if the travel physical deals turn out to be way cheaper than travel E-SIM, there's still a loss of flexibility.

  • can you do 10% twice?

  • +2

PS: Targeted $200 off also works in the EDU/GOV store where the phone is 20% off RRP, but the public trade-in is only $100 off.

    • Can you get it cheaper than public with all the codes mentioned though? As most codes don't work on edu (except maybe newsletter), make it public actually cheaper (if u have all codes)

      • +1

        Unlikely.

Was just mentioning it as an option for those who don't want to jump through multiple hoops to get all the discounts.

  • +8

SERIOUSLY!! Someone in Samsung R&D is doing one hell of a crap job. Taking a well balanced and good design phone, then give it a new chip that is down in performance by 30%??

I would say get the original S23 or look for a cheap A54.

    • +6

I was reading this and thinking of upgrading from my snapdragon s20fe. I think it would be a downgrade….
S20fe has been excellent so far

    • +2

Tech Youtubers say that the Exynos 2200 for the S23FE has been optimized now, and that the performance is very close to S8G1 level. Maybe their foundry processes have improved substantially to make the silicon better.

If you really can get it for the $340 price that OP posted here, it would be a ridiculously killer deal. I remember paying $500 for my S21 FE about 18 months ago and thought that was a steal. In hindsight the Exynos 2100 in the S21FE really was very disappointing. Not bad enough to ruin your day, but inefficient enough that the battery life was just average.

        • Yeah I had the same experience after using a Huawei P30 for 3 years. Got rid of my Samsung for a Motorola Edge 30 Fusion 3 or 4 months ago. Maybe a downgrade, but the battery life is better, and it charges so quickly!

I don't want to go back to Samsung any time soon.

          • @Mr Haj: Unless you're me and decide to take a swim with it. I can vouch for the lack of water resistance on that phone!

            • +1

@drprox: Funnily enough I actually did. I was at Eildon and slipped from the boat at the boat ramp. Phone was submerged in water and completely stopped working. About half an hour later it was back from the dead :)

              • @Mr Haj: Much better luck than me! Mine remains totally dead after about a minute in a pool

    • The FE is usually a 'lite' version of the flagship range.

  • Can't see S21 FE 5G (SM-G990E) on the trade in list. Can I trade this in, and would it matter if there were a few tiny specs of paint missing around the sides?

  • -2

Better off getting the original S23 cause the FE has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 whilst the original has a Gen 2.

    • I thought Australia was getting the AMD Xclipse 920 version?

      • +1

Oh yeah, thats even worse. So its an Exynos 2200 vs SP 8 Gen 2.

    • +3

Outside of US, the S23 FE actually got Exynos 2200.

  • What codes did you stack to get 341 other than your s10 trade in

  • +1

How do we get this targeted email from Samsung, I signed up for the newsletters, is this the way or am I missing something?

    • +1

      Wants to know too

  • Can add galaxy buds FE for half price $100

  • The target email was send to previously subscriber.

I wonder if you can still get a loyalty code and stack on top of the $200 code, then stack the $50 newsletter credit. Has anyone try?

    • No, not all subscribers get the email. I didnt get this one but i got the previous for S23.

  • +1

This is a bad deal. The $339 deal for the S23 was way, way better.

  • Anyone else having problems with trade up app today? Keep getting 'unable to process payment' msg, both myself and another person I know having this issue.

    • same

      • +1

Still not working. Can't get past the payment page either

        • same, still can't pay

          • @closed: Thought I'd try something that fixed another trade up problem I've had in the past and it worked.

Open settings and search for “Reset”
            Choose “Reset Accessibility settings”
            Reset the Accessibility settings.
            Restart phone

  • +1

Can't use trade in app or website. Always says payment / authentication failed no matter what I do after entering CC

    • same

    • Glad to hear it's not just me - decided to check with their support line this morning, have been on hold for it there for like an hour… Can't remove the phone either and the mailing list discount only applies if it's added after the discount code, but if you go out of the app and back in, it'll re-order them and then not apply the mailing list code, so you have to take it off and add it in again, except that doesn't work today either, keep getting a CSRF error. I also can't remove the phone from the cart anymore either.

So clearly they're struggling to keep this thing running and they're inundated with issues is my take-aware…

      • this happens all the time, nothing new

  • +1

I would have thought you could get it cheaper. This is what OP seems to have used.
    $999 - $120 (trade in value) = $879
    10% app discount = $791.10
    $200 trade in bonus = $591.10
$200 extra trade in bonus with code = $391.10
    $50 newsletter code = $341.10

Possibly add the $100 loyalty code via chat and the 10% loyalty codes but im not sure the 10% loyalty stacks with the app discount.

    • +1

Asked for the $100 code earlier and was told its only for regular s23 series not fe

  • Anyone able to get the $100 loyalty code via chat, as I tried, but could not get one? Never got a code via email either :(

  • noob question, is the samsung shop app available on apple store? takes me to google store. couldn't find it in apple store

    • I used the website and traded in a "galaxy watch" for $5.

      • I was referring to this - 10% off first purchase from the new Samsung Shop app

        • -1

          Here you gohttps://www.samsung.com/us/apps/shop-samsung-app/

  • Can try to stack with H&M giftcards if you spend enough - https://coupons.nine.com.au/samsung#voucher-au_22742585 I've had these work previously

  • $999 is not "the big price tag"? I feel like that was flagship tier not that long ago?

  • I tried with $100 off, only works with s23 , not s23 FE, why 🤯

  • Almost worked for me, then all of a sudden the price reset while workingy way through the convoluted process of adding vouchers. I think a lot of people give up at this point and just buy something else at full price for ~$600!

  • Placing order through app, it sucks lot of issues and cannot proceed with placing the order.

  • +1

For those having order issues with Samsung Shop app, there is an app update in the Playstore and try below methods:

    • If you're still not able to empty the cart, clear the app data and sign in again.

    • If the issue still persist, try adding any other device in the cart, I added S23, removed S23 FE and removed the voucher code. With hit and trial I could empty the cart.

I was able to smoothly go from there. There was no authentication errors or any issues.

10% OFF from app first purchase
    + Device trade-in : $120
    + Bonus trade-in : $200
    + Email Voucher: $200
    + Newsletter SignUp : $50

    • @Bloozzz I have the cart issue too… See below

  • not sure if this is new but if you add Galaxy Buds FE for $99 you get $50 credit to use on accessories.

this is what i got for $572 with a $1 trade in

    Galaxy S23 FE 128GB Graphite
    SM-S711BZAAATS

    Galaxy Buds FE Graphite
    SM-R400NZAAASA

Galaxy S23 FE Silicone Case Graphite
    EF-PS711TBEGWW

    10,000mAh Battery Pack
    EB-P3400XUEGWW

    SmartTag2 – 4 Pack (2 x White and 2 x Black)
    EI-T5600KWEGAU

    $999 - phone
    $199 - buds
    $49 - case
    $69 - battery
    $169 - tags
    $1485 - total RRP for $572

    Discounts
    $200 trade bonus
    $200 bonus email
    10% Samsung Shop App
$99 Buds FE when bundled with S23FE + Free $50 Accessories

Can also stack $50 newsletter code which I didn't use

    • If I don't really need the buds and case would it be nett 572-199-49=324? Then 50 less with newsletter, 274?

      • buds and case were $99

        so should be $572-$99-$50 = $423

          • @CyberMurning: those are retail numbers in that list you were looking at

            • @closed: invoice has phone $498, buds $77 and everything else free

              • @closed: Not bad. And no need those 10pxt off code (not app) as they are difficult to get

    • So if get the 10% code and use the $50 newsletter credit, that will bring the bill down to about $450….

Now that is a cracker deal even the phone is crippled.

  • I think I have out of stock item on my cart so now when I go to cart it ls alway error page.
Uh oh, looks like there's an error, sorry!
Reinstall the app doesn't fix it. I can't empty my cart. Adding new phone also the same.

  • Has anyone order is under review? I have got this text in the order email which is first time I'm seeing

"Thank you for choosing Samsung, your order has been received and is currently being reviewed. We may need to contact you to verify your order."

  • I think Samsung is getting on top of this and not giving out anymore codes for people to stack on to orders, i trying both chat and email and getting nowhere.with any codes that take further 10% / $100 off.

Anyone successfully got the code in the past 48 hours?

  • Just wondering how do people get the targeted offers. I cannot see how to get these emails

    • +1

You have to sign up to newsletter to start. How it come through I am not sure. I got the one last month and this one but i don't seem to have the one for Tab S9 FE, not that I want it…..

      • Thanks syswong!

  • I did email Samsung querying how to get a bonus $200 code, and they replied "Unfortunately we don't have any available voucher for that as it is a newly released phone, however we will notify you as soon as we have a voucher applicable for it."

But I then got a phone call from Samsung saying the promotion has been very popular and they were trying to release more codes, or they will do a promotion with JBL headphones instead of the $200, so wait and see??

    • It is for only 100 targeted people for the JBL deal

  • Managed to get it to
    Grand Total
    $526.80

    SmartTag2 – 1 Pack $0
    Galaxy Buds FE $68.89
Galaxy S23 FE Online Exclusive $458.41 (-$1 earphone)
    SmartTag2 – 4 Pack (2 x White and 2 x Black) $0
    10,000mAh Battery Pack $0

In the app, i added the buds from using the search function at $199

    • That is about the same as "closed" got, you added the $50 newsletter code but also can't get that extra 10% / $100 off from Samsung?

TBH at $3xx for all that stuff sure they are loosing money, can't blame Samsung for butting a stop on the codes.

BIM if you are in the trade in game then this phone will still worth 250-350 in 24 months. At your price still a really good deal, just not as cracking as OP manage to get

      • can't get that extra 10% / $100 off from Samsung?

Those 2 are not for FE.
