    Great price

How to you get targeted email vouchers? Is it from the newsletter?

    • I'm not sure, but I'm signed up to the newsletter and I've bought 2 phones and 2 watches with them in the past few years.

      • +4

I've signed up for the newsletter a few times to get the $50 off but never received any promotional emails from Samsung

  • No ultra?

    • +1

      Check the 2nd tab

    • +3

Bonus works on the ultra. My calcs is that it should be from $934.10 - still waiting on the 10% code myself

      • can you upload an image of the email or the checkout with the code removed? - loyalty email are asking for this to provide me with the same code (ooft)

  • Sad they don't accept trade-ins on Samsung's purchased overseas.

    • Im pretty sure they will just send it in because they accepted cracked etc sometimes even if you dont send you just have to pay the fee and still get bonus but not sure about now.

      • You need to enter IMEI so they might check that.

        • Ah that sucks.

      • +1

Do they accept cracked trade ins (zero value but the trade in bonus still) - I thought I read somewhere that significant damage voids the trade in bonus?

        • +2

I'll let you know. Claimed a oppo for a $1 and won't be sending anything in. Think the t&cs said $60 if I don't send it

        • So I ended up sending some random headphones when I said in was sending a phone.

They was two weeks ago and nothing from Samsung.

  • +14

I just bought one and was trying to post the deal when this popped up. Thanks.

    I got the s23 256GB for $544

    $250 off, $500 Bonus, $50 Newsletter, $100 Loyalty

I emailed for the 10% voucher, also used online chat who gave me $100 voucher instead

    I traded a S21 5G 128GB with a cracked screen that I bought for about $500 2yrs ago thanks to a deal on ozbargain

    • +4

A man of the times. Well done

    • Do they accept cracked trade ins (zero value but the trade in bonus still) - I thought I read somewhere that significant damage voids the trade in bonus?

      • +2

yes they accept it, the trade-in app lets you select cracked screen and gives you $5 trade in. I was charged $5 and if I don't send it back will be charged $60. I might just keep it and not send it back as I could probably sell it for more than $60. I also keep that card blocked so they shouldn't be able to get the $60 as I've done this before and gotten away with it.

I think JB are the ones who don't accept cracked screens

last I checked was $300 to fix the cracked screen on a S21

        • +1

JB accepted a cracked screen S21FE trade-in for an S22+ with no issues. Was better value than trying to get the screen repaired through Samsung.

      • Update: cracked S21 Ultra was accepted with all the trade in bonuses - phone I think was valued at $10.

    • $250 off, $500 Bonus, $50 Newsletter, $100 Loyalty

      Where is the 10%?

      • I was quick to jump on the offer so didn't want to wait around. I sent an email then started an online chat, they offered $100 so I just took it and placed order. I then needed to buy a second one a few hrs ago, online chat gave me another $100 straight away.

I never got the 10% off code, I did get a reply asking for my number so they could call to provide it.

        • +1

Wait, what was the final price?

Samsung Galaxy phones have gone down in features since the S10, and I would say they didn't offer much improvements with the S21 and S22 lot. The lineup of S23 is the first worthy upgrade (flat screens, efficient processors, best cameras).

With that said, the iPhone 15 Pro/Max is going to make the Samsung S23/Plus feel outdated by next month. So these discounts still may not be worth it. The Samsung S24, well at least the S24 Ultra, is going to have to make major improvements to keep up. As annoying as this all sounds, it is GOOD, the market is continuing on improving, hopefully it's not at a stupid markup price.

          • @Kangal: $544 was the final price. I saw people got it cheaper by also stacking the 10% off code, I didn't do this though.

  • +4

So this trade in value… Do you have to trade in a phone??

    • +12

What do you think you are trading in ? Your ozbargain licence?

      • +2

I thnk so lol, never done this trade in thing but I think i get it ;)

      • +1

        that's pretty valuable.

  • +2

I have a S21+ which is still going strong. The S23+ is mildly tempting but the whole trade in thing is just a PITA. I kinda want to hold off until Folds come down in price a bit as I think they will be the new phone people will have.

    • +4

I used the Fold 4 for a little while, was using the Pixel 7 Pro prior and I really didn't like the Fold 4. The camera is junk, the under screen selfie is junk. The crease is annoying and the front screen is unusable.

I'm a heavy user though, if you don't use your phone as much, you might not hate it as much but then again what is the point of buying it in the first place if that's the case.

      Just my 2 cents :)

      • Thanks that is helpful to know. My phone does a pretty heavy work out on a daily basis. Im just surprised how well the battery is holding up after 2.5 years. I previously had an S9+ and the battery just sucked after 1.5 years.

        • For the time I used the Fold 4, the battery was pretty decent considering I was mostly using the inside bigger screen, I have big fingers so the front screen was extremely annoying to use and like most reviews on youtube, it's really unusable as it's too long as too narrow.

I think they will have to step up their game as other phone manufactures like Xiaomi are making some really nice folding phones.

I would say, hold off for another year or two until they make cheap good folding phones.

          • +1

@itsmoe: I've S20+ going strong and for me this seems like waste of money

      • I agree with a lot of what you wrote just by reading reviews. Because the Fold was somewhat appealing device to me. There’s no real portable OLED tablets anymore and I figured the fold could feel that niche. If you cared about the tradeoffs with the foldable tech then I don’t understand why anyone would buy it. They are always going to offer inferior cameras, and battery life. I just wish someone would make a good small oled screen tablet.

        • +1

Reminds me of the Asus Nexus 7 I won off a Kit Kat wrapper and that was the perfect size for me

          • +1

@MuddyRubber: Yeh I had one of those too, was a great tablet, Apple still sells the iPad mini, not really an Apple person so I would never but it's an alternative for the time being I guess. (would have to sell a kidney to buy one though lol).

    • Same here, I'm just waiting for the pixel 8 pro tbh. Though it is tempting to trade it in for these prices ..

    • I agree with @nedski, on top of it all, the battery was absolutely horrible and unless you're going out of your way to use the inner screen, you end up using the smaller screen anyway 90% of the time, sure, it's useful for youtube videos and whatnot, but i've found that the s23 ultra is a much better overall phone, especially the battery life, the camera is amazing on this, too. Full disclosure I got 50% off at launch so i paid sub 1k a while ago, great value for money!

How do you get the 10% email code? Email them and ask for deals?

    • +3

The 10% you will have to email them, just say that you are a long Samsung user and you want to take advantage of the current trade in value, they will send you a unique code. They are pretty quick as well.

      • +1

Thank did this and it worked 🙂

  • Got S23 yesterday, cashrewards 4%, today’s cashrewards 10%, sad……

    • +1

Can you stack with the code applied?

      • +2

I had used newsletters voucher before. I got trade-in + loyalty + cashrewards in the deal.

    • if you cancel the order can you use the codes again?

      • Not sure. Since the order status is shipped, it is too complicated to cancel and re-order.

        • oh wow so your order is shipped with an ETA?

          • @Juice08: No ETA yet. But I once tried to cancel order (on samsung website) before. Even in "Awaiting dispatch" (status before "shipped"), cancel is not available. Had to return the device after received it.

    • Me too, thought I got a great deal… but today's is better! :(

  • +2

I can only see $300 bonus for trade-in. Has anyone tried contacting loyalty for $500 trade-in offer?

    • Yeah. How do I get the $500 trade in offer?

      • read the deal. its a targeted code…

    • I tried contacting them and did not work

  • -1

  • so last month i installed the app, i was changed the trade in amount $350. the code expired on Sep 4th. no refund yet. when had a chat with samsung they are asking me to email Asurion. this is normal?

    • Good luck getting a reply from Asurion. Worst company to deal with ever

    • Was the 4th Sept - I'd expect to see your refund sometime next week.

  • can you trade in any phone? like xiaomi phones?

  • The chat is busy

  • Just called, wouldn't give me loyalty code over the phone was told you have to email them. Emailed and auto reply too many emails they will get back to me later. Looks like they are getting ozbargained

  • Waiting f9r flip 4

  • Is Samsung Care+ (including taxes) worth getting?

    • No

  • $1349 for 1TB Ultra hmmm

  • +1

How are people getting the $500 off code? I've now signed up for the newsletter, but do I get it after putting in my phone through the trade-in app and getting lucky?

    • Which chat exactly?

      • My mistake mate, ignore comment.

  • +1

Does this targetted $500 off code work on the edu store?

    • Would also like to know this

    • +3

I know the last targeted trade-in code worked in the EDU Store for the Tab S9, Flip5 & Fold5.

Didn't receive this one to test.

    • I did try it, seems to think it applies, but doesn't affect cart price…so, no.

  • +1

No code for me I'm signed up for both gov store and retail store and bought from both last 12 months signed up for newsletters as well. No joy 😕

  • I got the $100 chat discount, does it also work with the 10% one? I gotta wait for that but wondering if stocks will go out or not.

    • what do you ask for the $100 chat discount?

      • "Do you have any discounts or voucher codes for me?"

  • +5

      Does not stack

Cashback is ineligible on the following:
Purchases using coupon codes not listed on Cashrewards.

      • that's a shame

      • +1

Mine tracked and got paid when I bought my ultra back in June. Got an extra $114 off.

        • Even with all the discount codes?

          • @Turd: Yeah I didn't have the $50 newsletter as this didnt stack but there was a discount on the phone, bonus for trade in (which I didn't send and only paid $30 penalty - sold S21U 128GB privately for $600), 10% off, bonus watch 5 (sold for $300) and 8% cashrewards (from memory) with no cap.

            • @bargainswede: How did you get bonus watch 5? And where did u sell it?

              • @furythree: It was a promo back in June, sold on marketplace which took a few weeks as there were so many people trying to offload theirs which drove prices down.

                • @bargainswede: oh i remember that deal

but i am just surprsied u sold it for so much considering retail prices are around that much

i got one too but decided to keep it since the resale wasnt worth it. damnit i should have tried

                  • @furythree: Yeah guess I got lucky/had patience. Lots of people offering less but for that money I would rather keep it or gift to family.

      • I am pretty sure they do for Samsung.

  • Hi - The $50 news letter voucher is getting removed when I apply the 10% loyalty voucher. is there any order I need to apply these codes?

    • is the 10% off the retail price or the discounted price?

    • yes apply the $50 news letter voucher last

  • +6

    Beg Thread Initiated
