      Yep, must be Samsung

    • +1

yes different models accepted are listed in checkout page

    • +1

They accept any phone, tablet, smart watch and audio accessory, the trade in value must be $1+. Open this page on an IOS device if you trade in an audio accessory.

    • I dont think the discount was including trade in value (as everyone gets different amounts depending on phone). The discount was in addition to trade in value

    • Does this automatically just tag $500 to whatever you're trading?

It says my old phone is worth $15

      • Yea, the $500 trade in bonus will be applied on top of phone cost ($15 in your case).

  • +1

Can you still get away with not sending in your phone like in previous years?

    • +2

I believe they charge you $60 for 'late fee' and keep your trade-in device deposit.

    • +1

The Ts&Cs say if you don't return within 4 days they keep your security deposit (the trade-in value) and may charge a late fee of up to $60. It doesn't mention any other non-return fee.

So I assume that means if you get more than trade-in value plus $60, you can non-return. Can anyone confirm that?

There are lot's of horror stories of people dealing with Asurion, so the pain of selling on gumtree/ebay etc may be less than dealing with them?

  • What happens if the trade in is in poor condition?
Doesnt seem to be an option to say screen is damaged or whatever

    • yes there is in the tradeup app. your phone will be worth $5

      • +1

Ah ok, couldn't do it in the browser.
Dont care if its worth 5 bucks, just want the 500 bonus lol.

And you have to do it from the device in question it seems. I'll have to power up my old S9 and see if it works

        • no option for device condition in the browser, my Note 10 worth $120, but with cracked screen, so what would happen if send in this phone? would I be charged $119 in the end?

    • +1

      Not $500 trade-in, that's targeted.

      • +1

        Thanks mate, makes sense now.

  • Your promotional discount has been applied.
Your $50 Newsletter Subscription Voucher has applied to the cart.
Your voucher has been applied. $200 trade-in bonus has been applied to your Galaxy S23 along with your eligible trade-in device value. Promotion ends 20.09.2023.
Your $300 trade-in bonus has been applied to your Galaxy S23 Ultra along with your eligible trade-in device value. $300 trade-in bonus promotion ends 20.09.2023.

    • +1

just have to rub it in everyones faces dont you

  • +2

Trade-In bonus will depend on the storage of the phone you will be purchasing, for example you can get $600 worth of trade in bonus for the 1TB storage of S23 Ultra and $300 bonus for the 512GB + your exclusive discount voucher promotions may change without prior notices as well. Apparently we don`t have any info aside from this that we can increase the bonuses manually. Other portals like Partnerships, Government, Educational stores etc. have different promotion as well.

Some of our customers are receiving emails with $500 trade in bonus which is only for the randomly marketing selected customers only Unfortunately, we don`t have any control with that as of the moment.

    Thank you and stay safe.

    Kind Regards,

    • I got a $500 code but when applying it for a S23 Ultra it says $300, weird

      • may i have the code, as I am keen to get S23. the code may be valid for the model.

  • can they do trade for a dead Samsung s10?

    • +1

      Yes, for a dead s23

      • why a "dead" s23?

  • How do you get the s23 plus down to $709?

  • Chat are refusing me the 10% loyalty bonus saying no such bonus exists.

    • It does, better to send an email to [email protected] or call them (if not listed in the post, it will be in many other older posts)

  • Dammit, after prevaricating all day yesterday I finally but the bullet and got one in the evening. Wish I had waited till today

  • +1

I decided not wait for a code and got the following ordering an S23 256gb:

    $1449 RRP
    $250 off sale
    $300 trade-in bonus
    $100 code from web-chat
    $50 code from web sign-up
    $295 trade-in value

Final price was $454-$41.27 cash rewards = $412.73

I'm pretty happy with that. I paid $369 for the S21 in 2021. If any of you get the full $500 and all the other discounts stack, that would be around $215, which would be amazing. Godspeed to those waiting for codes!

    • Mine was $1699 for Ultra 1TB is that ok deal?

    • I thought when you use code not supported by cashreward, your cashback will not be tracked? Have you got it tracked?

      • Tracked immediately.

    • Where is the $100 code from??

      • Web chat. Tell them you're a long term cunstomer thinking of upgrading and ask if they have any deals.

    • How did you get pass the trade-in value page? I've confirmed my payment details but stays on the page after I click continue

  • Applied for the trade in process, let's see if the $500 code comes through

  • +2

    I got a S23 ultra for $784 after a trade in from an S21.. Very chuffed :)

  • +2

    $334 to upgrade from my s21 to a s23 128gb. Thanks OP

    • did you get 500 bonus or what?

      • +1

Yeah $300 + $200 Trade in bonus plus $50 off voucher

        • +1

good and my device is ineligible for the trade in. its a 1 year old Motorola

  • How do you get the $50 newsletter code to work?

    • Put the newsletter code in first and make sure you purchase using the same email you used to get the newsletter discount code.

  • I have an S20 FE 5G, which Samsung offered $120 for. I reckon I can get more than that on Facebook/Scumtree.

So it would be better to use one of my old phones for the trade in offer right?

    • +3

So it would be better to use one of my old phones for the trade in offer right?

Generally yes, if you have an old device lying around that eligible for trade-in.

Also less headache/cheaper if the phone goes 'missing' in transit or Asurion screws you over.

  • +1

If your $50 newsletter code does not stack with the trade-in bonus, log in to your Samsung account first, make sure that's the same email address as you used for the newsletter bonus, then apply the vouchers. Also, don't forget to use Cashrewards/Cashback for the extra discount.

    • Is the Cashback still tracked after using the discount codes??

      • Yap

  • Is this deal online only , has anyone tried negotiating in their local Samsung experience store? Not keen on sending items to Asurion they have terrible reviews.

    • Can't use newsletter code in store. Cant say about loyalty voucher or not

  • instructions are not clear,

    1. do i have to do the trade in thing using the broken phone that i want to send back (old s6 does not turn on)?
    2. if i use the browser to do this, which item would i be able to select that would equal to the cheapest $ value, when would i be requested to pay the $60 admin fee for not sending it? is it still $60?
    • You can't get a trade in code if your device does not turn on. As you need to run the trade up app on your current phone.

      • so how do people trade in cheap Bluetooth earbuds they get from reject shop? am i missing a step here?

  • Got 15% chat discount code, does not stack :(

  • 824 for s23 ultra 512gb. Also s24 be out in march hmmm decisions

    • Also in a similar boat, but not receiving a code made the decision easier.

Still using a Note20 Ultra, so no reason to upgrade (just want a new phone haha).

Will wait to see what the S24 has to offer.

    • How'd you get 824? Is it because of of your trade in value? Best I can get is $1,453.2

      S23 ultra 512gb $2,249
      Less promo $300
      Less trade in $1
      Less trade in bonus $300
      Less 10% loyalty $193.8

It's not applying the $50 off or another $100 code I have

    • $824 for ultra? How mate?

  • +2

Last time they sent out more targeted codes towards the end of the bonus trade-in period.

    • sweet, will give it a wait :)

      • Was just about to ask if it will even come through if you've only just signed up to a Samsung account today, guess we'll have to wait. Pity about the 10% cashrewards cashback that's only on today though.

  • My order is stuck on being verified. Never had this happen before for a Samsung order.

Wonder what is going on this time.

    • Happened to me earlier this year. Was verified within 24 hours

  • +1

FYI - I am trading in my S23 Ultra as its just too damn big and heavy…. my trackies fall down when walking around town hahaha !!!

    pretty happy with that.

    • Can you give a break down please

      • +1

I used the $50 sign up then the targeted coupon after.

        • Ic, so this price include the deduction of your S21 256gb

  • Got an error when I tried to enter trade-in code:

"You cannot proceed with Trade-in as the Trade-ID is invalid."

    Anyone having the same issue?

    • +1

Your trade-in device was used in trade-in before but you never sent the device in. The IMEI is now black-listed on their system.

      • Thanks for your information, I will try another device

  • +1

All S23 256GB seems to be sold out? - Online excluse color available

  • Note that you have to send photo ID (front and back of driver licence) to Asurion, I'm not confident of what they will do with it.

  • 256GB OOS

  • +1

    WTF? I paid $724 for 256gb S23 just yesterday!!

    • Cancel the order

  • +1

With all the trade in mess ups and unethical charge horror stories appended with Asurion, they now want photos of our IDs. LOVE the AUDACITY.

  • Struggling to get any traction with Samsung to get a 256GB ultra below $809… We'll see how it goes.

    • How do you get it that low? I got it down to $933.20 with a $1 headphones trade in.

      • My guess is my trade in price is higher than yours

      • How did you trade in headphones ? i just see ,phones tablets or watches?

        • You need to use the Samsung Trade Up app.

    • FYI they emailed me $100 off plus the $50 sign up. Came to $659

  • thanks OP, ordered 1. I could not use the $50 newsletter code with other codes so I just let it go.

  • Traded an old S10+ where battery is ok but no longer lasts a day, phone over 4.5yrs old on a S23+ and paid $779 in total, I think that is a good deal.

  • -1

Never receive reply for those codes.

  • What happens when someone is not returning the tradein phone back within the given time? we get charged $60 on top of phone price so in total $500. Still a very good price, thanks OP

  • I am getting an error when entering my trade in ID "You cannot proceed with Trade-in as the Trade-ID is invalid." Anyone had this issue?

    • credit to bobokingdom

Your trade-in device was used in trade-in before but you never sent the device in. The IMEI is now black-listed on their system.

      • No IMEI involved. Traded in my headphones. Does the trade in code takes time before it gets activated?

    • S23 from $439.10?

How did you do that? Which trade in model will people use for getting that final price?

  • +1

Ordered an S23 Ultra 2 days ago with $300 trade in. Saw OP post, checked my email and found $500 trade in code but couldn't cancel the first order. Decided to purchase another unit so called the Samsung hotline and got the loyalty voucher over the phone.

New purchase works out as follow:
    Trade in voucher $500
    10% loyalty discount
    $50 sign up voucher
    $5 Galaxy watch trade in

    Final price $929.6

    Bonus Cashreward 10% tracked $84.51

    Thanks OP!

    • Is this for the 256gb version?

      • Yes 256

    • you can just decline the delivery (tell the courier) then it will get auto refunded in a few weeks.

      • Yes. Dont want to take any chance. In case oos or hassles from the trade in company for refund etc

      • That also opens up a new can of worms - Dealing with Couriers and/or Samsung Customer Service if the parcels goes missing.

        • Startrack is pretty good and they do check your ID & doesn't do leave at safe place thing

          • @[Deactivated]: In my experience, it's dependent on the delivery person.

I've had orders from Samsung via Startrack require signature/ID, then I've had some that just yeet it over the fence (even though signature is required).
