The price in title is after all stacking discounts have been applied, using a trade-in device valued at $5.

I was not able to complete checkout because Asurion (the trade-in provider) is broken for me but I expect it should work for others.

To get this price:

  1. Install the Samsung Shop app to take advantage of the 10% discount for your first in-app order. Use the app for the remaining steps.
  2. Add the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 512GB to your cart. You must choose from the online exclusive colours only.
  3. Navigate to Computing & Display > Memory & Storage > Memory Card > EVO Plus microSD Card. Add 2 of the 64GB to your cart.
    This should now have activated the additional 20% off advertised here: https://www.samsung.com/au/youmake/
    If it hasn't taken effect, try forcing your cart to update by incrementing the quantity of SD cards, then decrementing.
  4. Add a trade in device to take advantage of the $600 trade-in bonus. You can use the TradeUp app to generate a $1 code for generic headphones (Or so I've heard. Asurion doesn't work for me. I added a $5 Huawei Mate 20 for testing.)
    For reference, my total at this point is $1,382.
  5. Apply your 10% loyalty code.
  6. Apply your $100 loyalty code.
  7. Apply your $50 newsletter code.

I featured this particular device because it is eligible for the trifecta of bonus trade-in, stacking 10% discounts, and 20% off with the https://www.samsung.com/au/youmake/ bundle. For example, the 256GB model does not work, but the 1TB does. It may also apply to the S23 Ultra and Flip5. If it's not working, try testing combinations of other low-value products advertised in the above link instead of the SD cards.

      buds2 qualify for youmake discount? I can't get that to work…. buds2 pro was working but is all sold out.

        Buds2 white didn't work for me, the rest are sold out. Gotta wait for a colour that is eligible.

      In my view, this is the sales strategy from Samsung. Ever since I can remember, they often have this kind of "mistakes". After you hooked with this kind of deal, you will be keen to change your device every year or even sooner due to this kind of "system bugs".

      • I think they are capitalising on boy/girl math, if i use the phone everyday and the new phone cost is only $300- after trade in/selling my previous phone, for a year the phone is basically only less than $1 a day, insane bargain!

        • Samsung releases too many phones a year hence too many stocks. S24 ultra isn't far away and will have some good bargains again. I am sure some users will jump on S24 boat again.

      • IMO it's quite far from being a mistake. I'm not sure if they're making any profit from a $502 S23 Ultra or a $798 Fold5, especially when you consider the costs of research and development (R&D) and marketing. Of course, not everyone can reach those prices.

        • S24 line is very close anyway so will have new deal soon.

  • Buds 2 pro white are back in stock. Managed to get S23U 256gb and buds 2 pro white for $907. I can finally get rid of my failing battery Find X2 pro

  • After stuffing around for more than a day ended up biting the bullet on 256gb fold and buds2 for $1211.43. How much are people offloading their buds on marketplace for these days?

      • Except no one has confirmed whether refunding the buds takes off the discount so I would rather not accidentally find out I'm paying a lot more than I bargained for

                @CyberMurning: I also had one time phone delivered before the buds due to stock issues. I simply cancelled my order for the buds and was refunded.

            • @XedeX: Is 256gb enough as there is no micro SD card can be inserted? I only have around 130gb in my S23 ultra but is using 512gb version due to the ram 12gb on S23 series. I do use google photos.

              • @HappyBargainer: Hi mate. I currently have a fold 4 256GB. Its gone over the half way mark. I dont take a lot of photos, but do have a lot of apps. But i think for me its enough.

    • The way Samsung applying the discount is a bit different though. I tried to simulate on Excel, can't get the exact same numbers, but the closest one for me was the 10% loyalty is calculated before any fixed discount ($600 trade-in, $100 and $50), regardless on the order you applied. Also, the $100 and $50 is really applied as such, they just spread it out so $91.96 to your phone and the rest to the add-on (Buds), the proportion can be different if u add different items but it'd still add up to $100 off.

      • My calculation above are in order how samsung is applying discounts. So before any discount, they apply trade in value (not bonus trade in) just trade in, in this case $1.
        They then apply the 20% bundle and 10% loyalty disc collectively. So in this case just times the amount by 0.7.

        The loyalty 10% discount is applied to phone only, and after the previous collective 30% has been applied.

        So if we take just the phone for eg. $2599-1 = $2598 x 0.7 = $1818.6 x 0.9 = $1636.74

        • This part is where Samsung did differently:
          Less 10% loyalty disc. (Important to note here that 10% is only applied to phone not whole cart). $1385.34
          The 10% is not taken from the amount after trade-in but BEFORE substracting the trade-in. Not that it matter much, as we got the bargained phone either way :)

    • I can not get my 10% loyalty to stack with the Buds 2, it will only work with the Buds 2 Pro. So I guess if you can't get your 10% working try a different bundle item

  • Can anybody explain how to get the $1 trade in code? There's no option to select headphones/earphones, only phones/tablets/watches for me.

    • Its through the trade up app only on android.

      • The trade up app (both the Samsung and Asurion versions) only let's me generate a code for the device I am currently using.

        The Samsung version won't accept my IMEI, the Asurion one accepts it and generates a code but it is not useable online.

        I am doing this from a S21 Ultra and tried with a Note 10+ too, same thing.

    Has anyone who ordered on the 13th, had their status moved from shipping (awaiting dispatch) to on the way? I'm still scheduled to receive it on the 18th, but figured they'd be moving it to the courier by now if they want to meet that deadline.

              I then left my cart like that waiting for 64gb evo card to be available so I can get the youmake discount.

              This morning, I went back in, and my cart remained the same as yesterday. The evo card is not back, but I added in buds2 (lavender) to test price and it worked without removing any codes.

              I don't know if the ordering is correct, or if it is due to the fact that I had phone + codes already in cart from previous day. If it doesn't work, try adding phone + trade in and codes, and then close the app and reopen to add accessory.

    I burnt all of my codes on an order that I later cancelled. I can't reuse them 😥
