        Yes.

        If you look at the related webpage on the ACCC website,, it lists numerous exclusions to the three year minimum expiry requirement:

        Gift cards must be valid for at least 3 years

        Gift cards purchased on or after 1 November 2019 must be redeemable for at least 3 years after the day they were supplied or purchased.

        The 3-year rule does not apply to gift cards that are:

        • able to be reloaded or topped up
        • donated for promotional purposes. For example, a business handing out $15 vouchers to passers-by for its grand opening.
        • available only for a specified period. For example, performance of a visiting ballet company.
        • supplied at a genuine discount. For example, $60 card for a massage valued at $100.
        • part of an employee reward scheme
        • part of a customer loyalty program
        • second-hand gift cards
        • part of a temporary marketing promotion. For example, customers buy a certain product from Business A, which provides a $50 voucher to use at Business B.
        • supplied to certain charities or government agencies.

        This deal is a temporary marketing promotion, so it is legally okay to give out bonus gift cards with only one month expiry through this deal.

            @vawiyoci: kinda was in the similar situation when 14 pro came out - the colour i wanted wasnt available. went purple instead as id rather buy a non 1st pref colour than buy it from 2nd hand and risk any suss issues (resealed packages, tampered / stolen goods etc)…in the end purple really grew on me.

          If its in your apple wallet then yes. you wont be allowed if you tell them youre paying with a giftcard. tell them you're just paying by card and tap with your phone.

              @Ozfanmel: Just ask if you can pay with two separate cards. Usually its fine. If they ask if its a giftcard you can just say no. They shouldn't check. I'd recommend keeping your actual card in the wallet incase they ask to see it but i doubt they would.

    Just got it price matched - called up 1st and got directed to an Australian who said no price match and that a lot of people have been calling regarding this deal. 2nd call I was redirected to an offshore call centre and they approved the price match. Going to pick up my new phone tomorrow!

    Called through first time, got some guy who told me they couldent, so rang through again till i got an overseas rep and I managed to get a 10% price match, however on checking stock levels, the phone was not available for pick up anywhere in Vic near me for the model i wanted as of the call, so they could not complete the purchase :(

      In the case of a refund of the purchased item and the gift card is unable to be returned, the value of gift card must be deducted from the refunded amount.

        Should be over phone. But they are very strict. I got one offering this. However, the color I looking for was out of stock. 2nd thought, I called them back again for the color which has the stock. They rejected. I think some sales may aware of this loophole since it is gone on the Harvey Norman website. I did tell 1st sales that the offer was for yesterday tho. You just try your luck then. I got rejected for 3-4times already don’t want to bother again

    Is Apple Store still offering $1000 on buying iPhone 15 PM with plan on vodafone? What if we cancel vodafone after 1 month due to bad reception will $1000 be returned or pay the remaining phone instalments. Anyone have any idea.
