  • Tempted but smaller than I use 18.8W x 17.7H cm. Large is 28.7W but only 7.5H cm!

As a lot of frozen food I buy comes in zip lock bags, I reuse those many times, as already paid for them. Other food can be in thick foil zip lock bags. Never run out yet. Work well.

      7.5cm is the package/box size…
      The large bags are 26.8 x 27.3cm.

Thanks - that makes more sense!
        Product Size 28.7W x 7.5H
        Product Dimensions 26.8 x 27.3cm

Confusingly, under "Product Details" Amazon lists M with Product Dimensions but L with Product Size in same place!

No probs, i have been caught out with the same thing before!

Just a head's up, the medium size bags are the size of the sandwich bags.

    • And you only get 19 in the box? Ziplock sell boxes of 100 that are roughly sandwich sized. I've never tried putting a sandwich into them so maybe those are too small for a sarnie?

      • They'd fit one smallish sandwich in where as the Hercules one's I can just squeeze in 2 of them.

I have the Hercules medium freezer bags and they're actually a size bigger than the sandwich bags, you could roughly fit something the size of an A5 piece of paper in it.

It took 50 years for Ziploc bags to come to Australia. Un-be-lievable.

We always called them Ziploc in our house anyway. Wonder if American TV spread the name here. Or if bags here were advertised as having a "zip lock" seal or whatever.

  • They rip quite easily.

    • The freezer one are thicker

      • Yeah. I have them.

        • Do you know of thicker, better ones? These last longer than the others I've tried, but I would prefer a size bigger than L.

    • RIP

      Rest in pieces ?

Great discount for the drug cartels. Thanks OP

I still have 1/2 of my stash from when it was $1 each. In general only the freezer ones feel thick enough. I’d use ikea ones otherwise.

The freezer bags are great for Sous Vide

  • Same price as coles
