    How's the heat

  • The brass one looks gorgeous

Imagine it would look even more awesome with a bit of patina/wear on it.

Note both black and white has different emitters:

    • Black: Osram P9 - 6500K and 1100 lumens
    • White: Samsung LH351D - 5000k and 800 lumens and 90CRI.

    Side-by-side comparison of the emitters.

    • which one is better, or is the difference just in the colour temperature; black cooler white warmer?

      • Comes down to personal preference.

        Here's a side-by-side comparison

        • Thanks for that, looked up the two Nitecore lights that I have (MH1C and MH12) and saw that they are 6500k. I probably wouldn't want any warmer than that as I am used to them for years now.

      • 6500k is really getting very cool white. I'd be going the 5000k personally.

  • What are the alternatives in this price range and size?

If you're quick you can stack the 'deal' price ($63.60) + 20% off Checkbox Coupon = $50.88

    • Just about to post the same after I bought it :)

Only black btw. White is next cheapest.

  • Got one!!! Thanks for that. Tipped me over the fence.

  • Bought , WUBEN X0 Mini Rechargeable + WUBEN C3 Torch, LED Camping Torch = Grand Total: $79.69

  • I bought this design when it was on the crowd funding sites.

Huge'y impressive. Great design to clip on to backpack straps if walking. Hugely bright and handy to keep in the car if ever needing a powerful, portable spot light when driving. Also, the based is magnetic which is awesome.

On the BOOST, it does get warm, but the metal housing dissipates heat surprisingly well in general use.

USB-C is a nice bonus. People have express difficulty in changing the battery as there is a tough cap to remove and a waterproofing ring but haven't needed to for me.

    • Can you leave it on moonlight mode overnight as a night light when travelling with kids?

Also - is there a way to "lock it out" so it doesn't turn on whilst in luggage?

Unboxed it and tested it next to my years-old nitecore MH12. The wuben was noticeably cooler even though both advertise 6500k. Probably prefer the more natural nitecore colour over the wuben.

The wuben (on turbo) was just under the brightness of the nitecore (on high), though the wuben did have better flood.

Couldn't believe how small the wuben was. About the size of a C battery! Great deal for 50 bucks!
