Larger than the Motion+
Also cheaper than the Motion+.

This is the 2nd biggest model in Australia.
The Motion Boom Plus model is IP67 has 80watts and is bigger but with less battery life than this Motion Boom.

It is not small
It has a 10000mAh built-in battery for Up to 24 hours battery life playing music.
Should take circa 4 hours to fully charge at 5v/2a.

*NO AUX input
Bluetooth 5.0 only
but it has a USB-C charging port.

Buy 2 and get stereo? XD
You can pair two together

it has "PowerIQ technology" USB-A output, so it doubles as a powerbank to charge your phone/USB devices.

    Excellent for my daily commutes on public transport

      Last dude I told to turn his speaker off threatened to kill me. Apparently he'd got away with it before and would get away with it again lol - he could barely stand, let alone get all stabby

      • Eshay I'm guessing?

        • More a tall, stinky, substance-affected, scruffy dude. The kind of guy you really wouldn't expect to be wielding the big Bose Soundlink, but there he was

      • This is why I just kill them first instead of asking

    Is this loud enough to be heard from one side of a train carriage to the other?

    How many children's parties will I be able to ruin by riding my bike through the park with this speaker on the handlebars?

    • Bunch of toddlers wondering why a grown man is listening to anime soundtracks

    From the review:

    The Anker Soundcore Motion Boom is alright for outdoor use. It's decently built and is rated IPX7, meaning it's certified to be immersible for 30 minutes in up to a meter of water. It can get pretty loud, though there's some compression at max volume that may affect the clarity of your audio at louder volumes. It's also remarkably portable and has an incredibly long battery life, making it suitable for long days spent outdoors. That said, battery performance varies depending on usage, and your experience may differ. Unfortunately, it struggles to reproduce a thumpy and rumbling low-bass, even with its BassUp feature enabled. That said, you can customize its sound thanks to its graphic EQ and presets.

    PROS
    * IPX7 rating.
    * Incredibly portable.
    * Fantastic Bluetooth range.

    CONS
    * Lacks low-bass.
    * Narrow soundstage.
    * Some compression present at max volume.

    However, most other speakers of this type and price range have similar write-ups as well.

    "doesn't come with AUX or USB Audio ports to play your audio"

    • Yeah, same as the popular JBL Charge 5 unfortunately.

  • I bought one on a previous deal, for the money you get a lot of output power and battery life. Bass seems to live up to the hype. The handle makes it feel more portable.
    Same bug as the Soundcore Boost where music volume fluctuates at quiet volumes (doesn't seem to affect podcasts/audiobooks the same way).
