    The other important factor is that this model appears to have DRAM cache, so it should sustain performance for longer. I hate when an SSD is slower than a HDD when you do a large sequential write.

    Yep, prices for the lexar nm790 have gone up a bit too on both BPC and MWave.

    looks like we might be past the lowest price point, worth waiting for Black Friday though

  There is a major short term over supply in the NAND market, so unless there is a major change I think SSDs will continue to fall in price, although the rate might slow down.

  Of course the other factor is the Australian dollar value.
