  They usually exclude Soniq from haggling on price.

  But when i got mine a few months back, I reminded them that they had this or similar unit with a built in DVD player for $199

  They where happy to match it at that price. Saving of $30 is still better than a kick in the ass

  If you are not in rush (can wait till end of October) you can purchase the Kogan branded one currently selling for $199 (+ $19.95 shipping) because it is LED and has built in PVR
  However its scheduled to be shipped on 25th October

    I considered this but as the TV won't be connected to an antenna socket I couldn't see the point in the PVR function. I also needed the TV sooner as it is a birthday gift.

    There's no line out either, not for video or audio.

    However for a bedroom or kids-room set, it's hard to beat. We're happy with the picture on ours, it's the best I've seen on a budget TV by a large margin. If it lasts 4 or 5 years it will have been worth it. (we paid $199)

    Energy use is 352KWh which isn't so bad. Sure it could be lower, but the difference between this and the lowest usage televisions on the market wouldn't add up to $25 a year. (whereas the purchase price is considerably different)
