Great price, would impulse buy if I didn't have an orange sammy

  • I would love to get this, love the colour but I just purchased the steeldive in the previous watch deal

      • +1

Ended up getting the sd1953, 41mm, waiting for it to arrive. Might pop into the shop and take a look at this one anyway.

    • Go on mate u deserve it
Plus sd1970 doesn’t come in orange

      • counter opinion - don't do it. They feel wicked cheap compared to the Steeldives.

        • counter counter

it keeps the economy going (or does it?)

@Jimothy Wongingtons: I suppose we should probably support Japanese watchmakers and local sellers?
i have no idea tbh, but I am wearing a Seiko Presage right now

            • @theguyrules: While we're favouring these homages, I counter your Presage with the Pagani 1654.
It came on black leather, but I cheaped out by using an SD1970 oyster with some $4 links.
              Total cost? $50.

  • RIP Victoria.

  • What about Seiko Prospex SNE547P Solar Divers for $249? Front page.

  • Very nice watch for a good price. One day I'm gonna have to jump at one of your deal posts.

I liked the Bruce Lee seiko but didnt jump due to the price. For me its not low enough to be a daily beater and I feel I might neglect wearing if after a while in light of my other pricier watches. If the Bruce Lee goes for a fair bit lower on the pre-owned, I my grab one.

    • Oh I'm a fan!
      Can you link us up?

      • Bruce Lee was the best!

I realise it comes with a nylon strap too. I just think for a diver watch a high quality rubber would have been more appropriate than leather.

        • OMG I AM IN LOVE !!

I want this!! Even as a gift to my dad, he'd be soooo thrilled! That website is just simply gorgeous!

Where can we get it for, for cheap!? Or will it never be cheap?

          • @lordra: No idea sorry

            • @Skullytor: Ah dayum. It is a true beauty. Remember me when you buy it!

          • @lordra: If you have QFF points to burn you can get it at the Qantas shop

            • @Tiggrrrrr: Thanks mate. I can see a lot of retailers have it at $750. I wonder who gets number one.

The ozbargainer in me says I can't pay full price for this watch. Or anything. So I hodl until something magical happens.

I couldn't resist and grabbed one for $700. Absolutely love it

  • Direct link for $379 for reference.

  • any womens watches?

  • Wonder if the other colours are on sale too?

  • @WatchNerd is this a good price for this watch?

I'm really tempted but know nothing about watches and prices.

    • +1

The short answer is yes but I have no idea if it's actually what you want.

For example - Do you know what an automatic watch is? Is this the right size for you? Do you specifically want a Seiko?

So many questions, not enough time.

      • I want something that looks good, for everyday wear. Yes, automatics are battery free, self winding. The video linked said a power reserve of 41 hours which is insanely good.

I do have small wrists. 16.3cms (6.4inches). So the smaller one will be the better one me thinks.

No I don't specifically want a Seiko, but it's Japanese and looks great! I have an addisdive so thought I should step the game a bit with the orange.

But sad news from the comment below. 😞

The $250 price discount is for the larger one, which is at $550. The 38mm is still $379 in store.

    • Aw mate, thanks for finding that out for us. Makes a lot more sense.
Did you go in store to find out?
Do you have a link for the big one?

      • +1

Yep. I went in store last night to find that out. It is in OP post in the catalogue, the discount price is $250 for the $550 watch, the 38mm is at $379 after discount, originally $495.

        • Sad times for me.

          42.5mm: Now $250, was $550
          38mm: Now $379, was $495

I was after the smaller one. Oh well. Will HODL until the next one.
The Citizen Eco-Drive AW1760-81X is also nice from Starbuy, if anyone is looking.

    • the $250 one should be online but it is not due to a technical issue. Should be up there in coming days

      • Thanks @Mike-f
Will that be for the 38mm or the 42.5mm at $250 please?

  • +1

If you like the orange but not the price, Starbuy's special today is a $165 orange Citizen eco-drive:
