Ryobi One+ 18V 320PSI EZClean Power Washer - Tool Only $99 (was $169) + Delivery ($0 C&C/In-Store) @ Bunnings

120

Probably on clearance since it's been replaced by the 600PSI version.

Seems good enough for washing the car but not much else.

Warning: read those 1 star reviews…

As someone who owns the 600 PSI version, I would probably agree with those reviews - the use cases for such a low powered device is extremely limited. I only use the 600 PSI one where I am doing something remote (e.g. washing mud off a vehicle if no hose available), armed with multiple 3L bottles which I bring.

Flow rate too low to do a decent job washing a car.

    Water hose more better,

      Latest battery free hose tech.

As someone who owns and uses one of these.

It's better than a hose, worse than a pressure washer, i think they should've called it a pressure gun instead.

  • -2

Even 600 psi is a crap. Hose water much better.
I blocked them and bunnings so that these kroks are not able to spam

  • I have this from last deal, like above your house hose is more powerful.

I bought the gen 1 worxs hydroshot which is as lame as this ryobi but it suits my purpose of low flow final rinse of the car with deionized water after washing for spotless finish. Needed low flow.

Otherwise pretty useless for most home uses I'd say

    • Actually, that's a pretty good idea
I'd love to rinse my car with rain water after the 2 bucket wash.

      • Rain water? Wouldn't be using rain water to wash a car at all. Get a deionised system. Costs about $130 for a Sentry system

        • +1

Do you have a link to a recommendation?
That's actually not too bad a price, if it's any good. Always thought water softeners were really expensive.

On the other note, why wouldn't you use rain water?

          Thanks

          • @Spending2Much: I bought a system on ebay which turns out u can get delivered for $120. Just google Sentry Deionised water system. It's the dual10x2.5. 2nd stage is the deioniser material.

Rainwater has tonnes of impurities so you'd not want to use that to rinse. The minerals etc can etch into your paint if left on too long or baked in apparently.

If Ur in Sydney, the water is pretty soft already. The deioniser brings the total dissolved solids in the water to 0. So it pretty much pure water so leaves nothing behind when it dries.

So I use the worx with it for final rinse only. Bit of a waste otherwise as the deioniser material isnt cheap.

    • how many L of deionized water do you use each time in general?

      • I haven't measured it and only used it once.
But I spray on Autoglym Polar Blast after the contact wash which is fairly hydrophobic and immediately rinse with the deionized water. Probably takes 5mins tops at 2lpm isn't might water. Not sure what the ideal flow would be.
Am experimenting. Only using 2lpm based on the flow rate of the Aquatic Life unit I was considering on amazon. The seller of my sentry kit said some ppl use the deionised water for the whole wash but that's unnecessary would I think.

  • Gave up on these pressure washers a long time ago. What we do now is soak the car down with the ozb fav CT18 (diluted), then wash/brush it all off with a flow through hose brush. Quick, easy, effective.

    • Would not trust that brush on a cars paintwork!

      • Swirls add personality. 🙃

    • A regular hard-bristled brush might damage paintwork; these soft bristled brushes are designed for washing cars while keeping paintwork safe.

      • +1

It’s still a brush though? I’d only use several noodled microfibre mitts (from cleanest to dirtiest areas) with 2 buckets and with preferably a grit guard for the freshwater bucket.

This is the best detailing video i’ve seen https://youtu.be/CFXfSBR5Q9w

As someone who ended up spending extra for the 600psi version after could find stock of the 360 psi one last deal I suggest don’t even bother

  • What would you guys recommend for cleaning roof tiles? Mate has a Karcher and done his.. until he rocked up with a broken karcher and asked if I could fix it (fell off the roof). Fixed it with a few irrigation elbows. I recon his cable is about 5m. Can make a platform to sit in the gutter, then occy strap the Karcher to the platform.
But will one of these battery jobs work (assuming you can attach a garden hose to it)?

    • Just buy a longer hose for the Karcher and leave it on the ground. This thing will not have enough grunt for cleaning roof tiles.

      • Cheers, is there a generic ext hose out there somewhere? Karcher branded was around $150!

Other reviews are accurate. If you are a mountain biker pair it with a 10L or 20L water container and it's great for washing down the bikes before you drive home.
If you live in an apartment that doesn't have a hose connection to wash down your balcony or car you can get some water pressure which is better than nothing.

    • +3

Yes I’ve seen people take them camping and use for washing bikes etc when camping where there’s no pressurised water available. Better than nothing.

  • I bought one last time to see if it would clean brake dust off calipers….it does not. Cancelled my order.

  • I bought it, and couldn't return it after 1rst use.
It's useless in my view. Only use if you want just small pressure without a tap in remote areas or the portability.

I got better cleaning of things with the right mode on hose adaptors which are sold for like $10. Bunnings said can't return as the product is not faulty. and it is less pressure as advertised, which is 320psi (I didn't know it what this psi feels like)

  • Will this work as a bidet? I really don't want to get a cheap one that hooks up to mains because of the requirement for a backflow valve.

    • I think you’ve found the only use case where the 320psi would be too much pressure. lol.

I say do it, make sure you report back with your “experience”

    • the bar is too long,
maybe you can use for hydrocolonic

      • Too long? Always a fix for that.

  • Really good product. I now do all my car maintenance washes with this thing because I can be done in 15 minutes. Some random garden furniture or fences can easily be cleaned as well.
