Qidi's huge 325mm x 325mm x 315mm build volume. 65c active heated chamber. 350c ceramic hotend. Activated carbon chamber filter.
This will do any helmet and with a 459mm diagonal will allow some very long prints.

I bought mine for $1599 and love the speed and quality. Qidi support is worth mentioning too. Happy to answer questions.

For all the Bambu fans who will comment - Build size, 350c hotend, heated chamber, no cloud print required, material compatibility, also Qidi AMS is coming.

Please do your own research first, don't blindly follow anyone's recommendation.

  • Considering the SP5 exists at ~$650, and easily moddable to add an enclosure, i would put the fair value of this printer at around ~$800-899. Not over double.

    • 200 mm/s (recommended max 60!) vs 600 mm/s
      260c hotend vs 350c
      Bowden vs direct drive
glass bed vs PEI, need I go on?
Does it even run klipper? Not even in the ballpark ballpark mate.

      • you should really think about how much those mods cost before you ballpark ballpark

        • If you want to go down the road of numerous mods and upgrades then just go Voron. There is a reason why a Voron will cost you more than an X-Max 3.

    • +1

SP5 seems like a project with the number of mods required to bring it line with the current times. Some people will enjoy it for sure, but not the majority given the cost and time investment. If only Bambu released a larger printer rather than going the other way.

  • Qidi is good brand. Its printers are fast and gives good qaulity.
