Have been using these instead of tablets as I was adviced by my rangehood manufacturer to use a liquid based one instead when washing my rangehood filters as the tablets were damaging them. So far, I have not noticed the performance difference between the the tablet and this. I was previously using the Fairy Platinum Plus.

  • How long does this last? I use a combination of Tablets and Powder

    • Depends on how much you use but if you use the minimum required, it can last for 33 washes.

    • a combination of Tablets and Powder

What's the golden ratio you've found?

What's the golden ratio you've found?

        It's 1.618

      • 1 tab inside compartment and approx 15 g in door for prewash

  • Confused…you were putting yr oven in yr dishwasher?

      Range hood filters

      • I used to do this and then realised using pressure washer and sometimes with degreaser is so much better

    • Why oven?

Can confirm that gel detergents work as well as powder/tablets, and they are less harsh and leave less/no residue on glassware.

Just don't forget to put a bit of powder (or gel, or normal dishwashing liquid) at the bottom of the dishwasher so that it does a better job during pre-wash.

  • Rangehood filters are usually aluminium and will be corroded in the dishwasher… that might be the issue..?

You are correct. I was told by the rangehood manufacturer to run them in the dishwasher every couple of days. And as long as the dishwasher is not set to run on a high temperature and I use liquid instead of tablets, they will be fine. I was also told I have a lifetime replacement on the filters as long as I do that, hence why I made the change.

      • every couple of days.

        WTF.

        • Lots of stir frying :)

  • Tried this product previously and didn't have a good result compared to other gels / powders. The product is two seperate liquids that you need to mix equally and its not easy to measure out, it also left a slight layer of detergent on the dishes and hence a smell that had to be washed off sometimes (even when using very little). I did not enjoy it, but there are some positive reviews about it so your money, your move.

    • Why do you have to mix it? There are 2 separate spouts which just flows as you pour, which I guess automatically mixes it?

      • I mean rather pouring it equally. Sometimes you'd have more green or blue, rather than a 50-50 ratio. At the end of the bottle I had a bunch of green left over and no blue.
