8gb of RAM for a gaming laptop. lame.
Not cheap enough for get over a 6GB 4050 despite the screen size.
Geez they still sell 3050 laptops these days? I guess it is ok for the price.
Excuse the language, but one have to be mad to buy a low end 3050 for 1.1k, when we got 3060 and 4050 at this price before - and on machines no lesser built than low end MSIs.
Low end MSI GF, GL and any renamed ones (Cyborg, katana etc), are all downright crap, the cooling solution (attached is already the 13th gen sku for the gf76, 12th gen is even more shoddy) and chassis is downright horrible for 2023. And before you go 'its just a budget machine with low end specs, stop asking for so much' except when you realise asus tuf and nitro 5 have much better everything: TUF A15 - check how much tighter the fanblades are packed and the extra heatsink space, Nitro 5 - they actually gave you the 2.5' space and not just block it off and skimp on the battery.
The old hinge design (because unlike stealth, GP and high tier models, these low end ones are still reusing 6-7 year old designs that will fail down the line and there is current a class action lawsuit in the making. And As if that disassmebly shot didnt tell you enough, one look and you will realise how much MSI compromised on this design, everything apart from the plastic chassis is identical and reused from the 15.6' GF, hence notebookcheck's line:

Eh 3050 laptop should be under 1k if not in the ballpark of sub $800 club to be honest. Damn GPU is underpowered as hell.

Browsing and pasting here from the web doesn't automatically make you look like an educated shopper.
This brick with these specification and price was good 10 years ago.
Seems to use SODIMM ram at least, so it can be upgraded.
