  • Is there a way to check the expiry date before ordering?

    • +4

Only for Warehouse items, see the description here.

After you ordered, it will also display the expiry date in order details. If there is an issue you can then cancel the order.

7 mins and 98 clicks and already 3 OOS reports. I dont know if they even had 25 in stock.

  • Hey guys, thinking of investing in a soda machine. Are they worth it? Do those concentrates have caffiene in them? Which one would you suggest? Thanks.

I used to buy the SodaKing sugar free / caffeine free cola syrup when it was on special around $2.50. Was definitely worth it then, and could make a small bottle at a time, perfect for a single sit-down / night. Can't seem to find it anywhere now for over year, and the remaining syrups are $6 - $6.50 a pop - I haven't used the sodastream since - just get Pepsi Light when it's on special, but not this short-dated stuff which tastes yuck. (Short-dated sugar stuff is okay, just not these with artificial sweeteners).

      • Agree with the short dated artificial sweetened drinks. And also its not about saving a dollar or two for me, but all that pollution that comes with it these use and throw cans/bottles. Most probably wont even be recycled.

          Well you did ask

          Are they worth it?

As for pollution - yeah sure, I think gotta be better. Also better that you don't have to lug around large bottles, neither does the transport company.

But again, I can't find the caffeine free version anywhere anymore.

          • @afoveht: I wanted a bit of caffeine, so its a good thing :) Thanks.

It's like getting a cruise ship drink package, more you drink, the better the savings.
But if you are buying soft drinks when they are on special, the soda machine is not worth it.

You're doing it wrong, then 🤣

        • Sounds like you drink way too many soft drink which already affecting your maths skill ;)

          • @boomramada:

which already affecting your maths skill ;)

Hmmm … at ~50c/L, I think it's probably your maths that sucks 🤣

            • @photonbuddy: You need to add all your capital expenditures. Hence I said, you need to drink a lot to save more.
sodastream, syrups, bottles, gas cylinder, gas, adaptors etc.

Spoken like someone who has no clue …

                But, you do you!

Get an adaptor kit (about $50 +shipping) to use CO2 from a 2.5/6kg tank instead of the small cylinders and you’ll save a ton of money

Been using mine for nearly 10 years now. Very cheap Soda Water to add your flavour of choice.

I like the 9:1 versions. Diet Rite and Aldi still do them. Perfect for topping off a SodaStream bottle.

  • Got my last order of these recently. The short dated ones do taste a bit different, less fizz but overall drinkable. The kids didn't seem to notice the difference anyway :)

FFS, I thought I'd finally gotten to a Pepsi deal in time. But it sold out after like 5mins. I can't win!

Just make sure you're subscribed to the Amazon Warehouse deals thread and have desktop notifications enabled.

      My postie probably hates me.

      • But I'm very busy, and I only check ozbargain, and my emails once or twice a day. There's a low chance of me getting to them in time.

  • Just fyi for those who bother about such things.

McDonalds, coke, pepsi, Nestle, and many other brands are owned by Israel.
People are boycotting these because of the Gaza genocide

  • Is $23 for the 30 pack of cans good value?
