    You might get better cover or lower excess. My CC has $350 excess so pretty useless for little things.

    CC travel insurance is very basic. It might suit your needs, it might not. Travel insurance is probably the most important insurance to actually read the PDS, different policies vary a lot on terms of what they cover.

  Don't be tempted by the 25% discount. Due diligence with travel insurance. I did similar last year and purchased from World2Cover due to the discount. I am still in dispute with the underwriters Tokyo Marine. I am now waiting on a determination from Australian Financial Complaints Authority. Took 12 months and paid half the claim and the significant claim was not paid. I now use Allianz and started looking at Covermore. Both very seldom offer discounts.

    Allianz isn't very good, it's the same as free CC travel insurance.

  Might still be worth considering covid cover. I've flown to Europe a few times since. First time masked and plastic shield (just the mandatory masks for everyone else - and very lax enforcement) as I was paranoid. Second time (this winter) nothing. Managed to avoid it. I got it doing a Tassie to Melbourne flight during lockup. Friends just got it flying to NZ. Only thing is it might not be such a big deal now to get it except it might prevent you getting a flight.
