Not a bad price if you're after an M.2 NVMe SSD and easily one of the cheapest 1TB SSDs you can buy. This one is a Gen3 SSD with 3200 MB/s sequential read and 2000 MB/s sequential write. It's not PS5 compatible.

A downside of this SSD is that it uses QLC flash (hence the low price), however it has DRAM cache and pSLC cache at around 250GB to help with performance. If you write more than 250GB in one go the write speed with slow down to arounds 150 MB/s temporarily, so it's best to avoid intensive writes. Otherwise it's perfectly fine for game storage, use as a portable SSD and fast data storage.

  • For Laptop/ desktop pc?

  • Thanks OP, seems like a great price for a 1TB and really positive reviews. Ordered one, now to find if I have anything to put it now. Secondary problem :).

  • OOS :(

  • Interesting combination of QLC, DRAM and pSLC cache. It would be interesting to see what these are like in real life.

    • Only takes a continuous write more than 250GB to slow it down to 150MB/s. If it were TLC I'd be expecting 500MB/s at least.

      • I notice that the large capacities have a higher minimum speed. This drive appears to be better than many TLC with no DRAM cache drives. I think for my application I would still spend the extra on a TLC with DRAM.
